About World Sailing Adventures
Join us aboard Makara, our 47-foot catamaran, to enjoy your private sailing charter for a few hours or join us under the stars for a multi-day, offshore adventure among the Florida Keys. Sail with us on the clear, blue waters off Key West to remote locations, along with some fishing, snorkeling the coral reefs, paddle boarding, and kayaking, while we offer up gourmet meals and specialty drinks. Take advantage of our new dive compressor and come scuba diving the wrecks and reefs of Key West, and all the way to the Dry Tortugas National Park. We offer an reasonably-priced, private charter for up to 6 people. It's a very different experience for you and your group compared to sharing your sunset sail with you 50 new "best friends" aboard one of the local "cattlemarans." We also offer the chance to combine staying aboard the boat while on the dock (and playing on Duval St!), with anything from a few hours of sailing to several days. Check out your options on our website!!

Overview
Private sail with your friends, which can include either snorkeling, paddling or fishing, but always ends with some appetizers, drinks (BYOB) and a Key West Sunset!

Private Single Activity Trip – Perfect to Play on the Reef or Just Sail and Enjoy the Sunset:

Enjoy a traditional sailing charter Key West style, embarking from the Safe Harbour Marina on Stock Island. With a feel of “Old Key West”, the shrimp boats and local craftsmen provide a picturesque beginning to your afternoon. Once aboard you will appreciate the luxury accommodations of our charter catamaran with plenty of room to roam about. Sailing a large modern catamaran is quite easy and involves as little or as much effort as you wish to put into it. Ask to help raise the sails or take a turn at the helm if you like. The destinations for the optional activities are less than one hour away, making this 3 hour trip ideal for one of them.

○ Bring your own alcohol, beer or wine if you wish. We will keep it cold and serve you

We took a 5-hr sunset cruise with snorkeling and paddling. Lindsay and Tadd are delightful hosts and Makara is paradise on the sea! Even dinner was delicious! Clear day on the reef with plenty of beautiful marine life to view. Can’t say enough great things about this day. We will definitely be back.

Our vacation spent aboard the Makara for almost 7 days was magnificent! It truly was one of our most favorite family vacations to date. Tad & Lindsay are pros at what they do & the whole trip exceeded any & all expectations. We snorkeled, kayaked, swam, & were totally able to relax. Lindsay is a fabulous chef (among her many other talents) & we ate like kings every single day. They felt like long time friends, but also gave us our own space so we reconnect within our own family. I would highly recommend a multi day charter for anyone wanting to decompress & escape reality for a bit!

We did the 8 hour all day trip with Lindsay and Tad. What a relaxing and fun day! My husband got to dive with Tad while I relaxed in the sun with Lindsay. They are true sailing experts and so much fun. The day ended with wonderful dinner then a sunset trip back to the harbor.

We took 4 teenage girls on an overnight sailing trip! Lindsay and Tadd are true experts and also fun people to be around! They made it a great experience! It was super relaxing, and there is so much to do aside from sail! There are kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, swimming, sunbathing on the trampolines up front! And, the meals prepared by Lindsay were wonderful! We highly recommend using World Sailing Adventures! It is a MUST if you are visiting Key West!

Totally off grid. We anchored at Boca Grande for the night. What a great boat, great food, and excellent hosts! Dolphins even swam with us for a bit! Snorkeled, fished, swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, rode and tubed from the dinghy. We even did Dinghy slinging - what a cool experience!
