This was the 4hr wild dolphin, snorkel and sail. We opted to rent wetsuits across from Turtle Kraals restaurant, as suggested from the site, which was a good idea for our kids. The crew, Jeff and Tiffany were very personable, and great with my 9+12yr’s olds questions and oddball comments. They had all manner of information about the area and the flora/fauna there. The drinks were cold and the snacks crunchy, as promised! Dolphins: We were lucky enough to have a couple of dolphins follow the boat for a while after our initial sighting of them. Snorkeling: If you are expecting a rainbow of colors when snorkeling here, you’ll be disappointed. It’s a very monochromatic experience, which I had read previous to going (seems to be better snorkeling in the upper keys). That said, seeing giant sponges, the camouflaging capabilities of the fish and a big barracuda drifting by was enough to make it interesting for the short time in the water. Sailing: Jeff had us sailing as soon as the wind provided enough power, which I appreciated, not being a power-boating guy. Overall, the trip was a relaxing, good experience for my family. I dont like big crowds, so enjoyed the smaller boat experience. I booked late and directly through their site and so, paid “Key West prices.” You might look around for discounts.

One of the best crews and deals in Key West. Everything they feature on their website is legit - unlimited Chandon sparkling, premium red and white wines, beer and soft drink/water. The fish dip is outstanding, as well as the cheeses. The owner, Captain Tom, greeted us and checked us in, and Captain Dan and First Mate Tiffany took over from there. Both interacted with the passengers the entire time, sharing the history of Key West, insight on restaurants and bars and making sure that everyone was entertained. Glasses were never empty and the sunset was amazing. We had such a good time, we booked ourselves again three days later! That night, Captain Jeff and First Mate Nikki were in charge and we're equally as proficient and entertaining. An important difference with Catamaran Echo is their policy to never book more than half capacity, which is roughly 12-14 people. Makes for a very comfortable trip and the ability to be served quickly vs. the "cattle drive" boats. We will be back!

Great trip. Tiffany and Jeff were great hosts. The recommended wet suits are worth the $15 for winter snorkeling. We saw a manta ray leap, stings Ray's, fish and dolphins

We had a group of 10 that used Catamaran Echo for a private sunset cruise and we all would highly recommend this company! The captain and crew were great! They went over all of the safety precautions and let us know about the various wines we had available to us and talked about the notes/pairings. The variety of wines, champagne, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages was great- as was the cheese and fruit board. The catamaran is not too big and not too small- our group of 10 was quite comfortable. There is a bathroom if needed on board as well. We had a great time and enjoyed a beautiful sunset cruise! I would highly recommend if you are in Key West to use Catamaran Echo.

Lovely sunset cruise with my husband. Unlimited champagne, wines and beers, very nice array of cheese, fruit and fish dip. The wine selection was surprisingly nice. Not your typically house wines (canyon road) but well selected great value deals like Santa Margherita Sav.Blanc as an example.. the wines you would service guest for a gathering -very nice but not stupid expensive. Could have brought our own special bottle if we wanted. The captain, wasted no time cutting the motor and raising the sails with the help of Issac, first mate and bar tender. She was personable, knowledgeable and made sure we were positioned perfectly for the sunset while we listened to a mellow contemporary playlist. Highly recommend.

Great tour in sea, the captain located a large group of Delphines that played around the boat and made wonderful jumps out of the sea. The snorkeling place did not have many fish, but it did not matter, the weather was not the best for snorkeling but we did manage to see some sea life. The wine and fruit snacks were nice on the way home. We had great time and would recommend anyone wanting to explore the sea in a bit smaller boat.

This was our second cruise on the Catamaran Echo. The first was to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It was a no-brainer to book a cruise for our 30th! The staff are a group of caring individuals, striving to make sure that we had a memorable cruise with champagne and delicious snacks. They provided safety guidelines while encouraging the passengers to relax and enjoy the sunset. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend a sunset cruise on the Catamaran Echo to anyone wanting a romantic and intimate experience in Key West!

What a wonderful evening. It was so nice to be on a smaller boat especially when all the bigger boats overloaded with people sailed by us. The crew was great, the wine was great and the cheese was great. This was recommended to us by one of the local business people and he was right. Would do this cruise again. The crew was phenomenal. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a nice quiet and beautiful trip to enjoy the Key West Sunset.

Our first time to key West we knew it would be a good time but with our crazy world (covid) we were still very careful. We watched other boats going out with more people than we were comfortable with then we found Catamaran Echo, they were very careful this night only 2 couples perfect sunset and champagne! Captain Joe and first mate Tiffany gave us a lot of history of the keys. Recommend to anyone coming to the Keys!

We believe now even more that "less is more", more value that is, since for now we're only taking 10 max on our public trips, less than half our inspection limit. Health and safety feels good, and so does extra room onboard. Thanks for sharing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset sail. They provided an intimate option for a beautiful sunset sail in Key West with only 14 total guest aboard their catamaran, opposed to the many double deck pontoon like boats that had 100+ people on them
The 2 crew members were friendly and professional.
They offered quality champangne and a variety of quality wines and beer along with a yummy cheese and fruit board and delicious smoked fish dip made locally to munch on!
Highly recommend!

I would assume the company allows pregnant women, only they can answer that... but I will say that it was supposedly a "good day" and it was so rough that several in my party felt very seasick. Note - sometimes they don't travel so far out into the open sea, but we did that day (for better snorkeling). By the time we got there my husband couldn't even get off the boat he felt so bad.
Do you allow kids aboard the boat? Can I book a family tour for snorkeling and dolphins

How much of a sunset do you see on a 2 hour cruise leaving at 4.30 pm? Even in October when I intend to visit Key West the sun is not scheduled to set until 7pm ish?

My husband gets sea sick from the rocking motion. Would you recommend this? The trip sounds fabulous!

Catamaran Echo is the most stable vessel on the water, naturally, because it's a catamaran. In general, people just don't get seasick on our vessel. But we suggest to always partake in any preventive measures that you choose.

Thank you for asking about Catamaran Echo in Key West. Over the last 20+ years, we have had progressively fewer folks even want to smoke during a trip on Echo. And now that many smokers are smoking less, many actually end up forgetting about smoking while onboard when they have such a stimulating time on the water, surrounded by an amazing environment (we love when that happens).
That being said, smokers are accommodated onboard, but the captain will direct them to the correct quarter of the boat so that the wind is blowing the right way, away from the other passengers. This way everyone is accommodated.

The catamaran can easily accommodate more than 20 passengers, but I didn't see any price break for children. I would suggest that you call their telephone number to inquire about children.
