The dolphin sightings were spectacular! Dolphins breeches, jumped and swam right by boat, and we saw them at 2 different times during our voyage. It exceeded all expectations. Crew was professional and engaging. It started to rain and snorkeling was still fine (the crew knew...More

As a party of 11, our options were limited. Our group was too big for the plethora of less regulated charters, but we were looking for a more personal experience than the large scale Cattlemaran charters were offering. Echo fit just right....not too small and...More

Weather Stunk, but crew made the best of it. We had a windy choppy cold front, But the crew still found some calm areas, and we still saw some dolphins.

We saw lots of dolphins. Our dolphin watch, snorkel and catamaran sail was the perfect way to cap off time in the keys. I have been coming to keys for 20years and this trip was top notch. Everything we needed was available and the boat...More

Thank you for asking about Catamaran Echo in Key West. Over the last 20+ years, we have had progressively fewer folks even want to smoke during a trip on Echo. And now that many smokers are smoking less, many actually end up... More

Snorkeling (21 Replies)
Hi everyone! Is there someone out there able to recommend who I should book with for a snorkeling tour? I was hoping for a smaller group size out to a reef. But right now I think Sebago is my better choice. I wanted to go with the Catamaran Echo (smaller group) but even the excellent reviews admit the snorkeling isn't all that great. We would like to see colorful fish. Is this possible? Any feedback or recommendations is greatly appreciated.

As long as the boats are going to the reef, you'll pretty much be seeing the same fish - colorful or not all depends on mother nature. The places that the boats go to on the reef are not all that different. If the colorful fish are not there that is not really the fault of the boat operator, though I'm sure some reviews claim otherwise. So stick with the things that you can control, like the size of the boat. Sebago has big catamarans that have a lot more people than the smaller boats. I...More

Sunset Cruises (7 Replies)
I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks now and everyone seems so helpful, so I thought I'd come out of hiding :) My husband and I are in our early 30's and we will be making our first trip to Key West May 3rd through May 6th. We have been considering doing a sunset cruise one evening. We are trying to decide between the Wind & Wine Cruise offered by Danger Charters and the Sunset & Moet cruise offered by Catamaran Echo. Has anyone taken either of these cruises? If so, would...More

You've got 3 nights, so you could do a sunset cruise one night and Mallory Square sunset celebration another night. I've always had a great time on Danger Charters, they take good care of customers and offer a lot of fun with the kayak combo. Don't forget to see Catman at Mallory Square and bring the camera!

Champagne Sunset Cruise - confused ... that's me! (4 Replies)
Wife pointed out a Champagne Cruise she would like to take. When I searched it I found three - all seeming to offer the same thing and all with different prices: 1) Champagne Celebration Sunset Cruise - From $79.49 by Catamaran Echo 2) Sunset Champagne and appetizer cruise - from $63.39 by Sebago Key West 3) Sunset Champagne Cruise - from $39.69 by Sebago Key West So they all seem relatively the same - why would I pay $79 when I could pay $39; or is there a "catch" when they say "from" in...More

Except for Commotion on the Ocean which offers live music sunset cruises are very similar. They all look at the same sunset and serve cheap booze and food that is nothing to write home about. I would go for the cheapest and enjoy happy hour at the harbor.
