This is the best beach in Key West. Although small, it has beautiful water, great shade and park. We went to this beach every day. There is a daily fee but it is totally worth it. It has a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed this place.

What a beautiful restored fort a hidden gem in Key West. Most do not know of this beach because they are hard to come by in Key West. This beach is it. Pack a lunch though.

We go here every year when we are in town and the beach area is beautiful and great for snorkeling. It is not much money so check this place out when in town you wont be sorry.

Yes, plenty of parking, but be aware there is an entrance fee, although fee is good for all day.

Did you walk to the fort from the cruise port? We are going in May and I was wondering what is the best way to get to the fort/beach from the cruise port. I will have my son and elderly mom with me. Neither will be able to walk it if it's too far. Thanks in advance.

We are here for a month so did not walk from the cruise dock. It is walkable from there but I might suggest in your situation to consider riding on the Trolley tour which does make a stop at the gate of the State Park. In... More
I have been to this fantastic park many times and especially enjoy sitting under the pines. One of the reviewers above said that they said to bring a " paddle board and snorkel the clear grass flats" Where are the clear grass flats at Zach Taylor. I've walked the beach and have yet to see that. Any answers?
