This was AMAZING! There was quite a long wait to get in, so we assumed it was going to be packed but we saw maybe 5 people checking out the fort... otherwise we had it to ourselves and were able to see so much of...More

Beautiful natural beach with lovely clear water. The children enjoyed watching the fish swimming around them in the sea. Wear beach shoes in the sea as it is quite rocky to start with. Although we were there in August there were plenty of picnic tables...More

We stumbled upon this place the last day of our trip. We hadn't been to any good beaches so this was a hidden gem. Its a park so you have to pay to get in $7.00 for a car w/ two people, .50cents for extra...More

My wife and I enjoyed the beach here. We went during the week so it wasn't too crowded. We walked from Whitehead street which took 20 minutes. There are several picnic tables in shade so we didn't need to rent chairs and an umbrella. The...More

We stayed in the Keys for the long weekend and decided to go to Fort Zachary to enjoy the day. Had a great time walking around and enjoying the beach. I have travel to Key West 4 times and never enjoyed the beach there. However...More

My boys enjoyed their visit to this historic fort. There is a nice beach area at this state park. Until I visited the Keys, I had no idea that there really aren't beaches in the Keys. It is the place you go for watersports!

The beach here....by FAR the best beach on the island. My brother had his wedding here as well and that was so rusticly elegant...we had a great time. It rained and the Fort kept us dry....what beautiful location....well worth the park entrance fee...to go everyday...More

True, the beaches in KW don't have the fine white sand you see elsewhere in the Caribbean, but Zachary Taylor beach is absolutely wonderful. Clear water, shade if you want it, picnic tables, tree climbing lizards... we biked there, which as fun, and it's a...More

Sorry, can't help you, but I too enjoyed those lovely trees at Fort Zachery. I'm hoping that lots of places in the Keys come through with out great harm.
