Best place in Key West for the sunset. There are vendors and entertainers every night. Pet shows.. fire, juggling, acrobatics and more. Spend at least an hour.

Street entertainers keep crowd pumped up until the big finale---sunset. Food available. Vendors selling paintings, photographs, etc. If you don't celebrate sunset at Mallory Square, you haven't been to Key WEst.

The place to see the world famous Key West sunsets. With nightly entertainment on the pier where the cruise ships dock (dont worry they must depart before sunset) so you will see it all.

From the street theater performers to the vendors with their homemade crafts, it's always a must see. Not to mention the beautiful sunsets. Watch for the Green Flash as the sun dips into the ocean!!

You have to go to Mallory Square to watch the sunset. There are street performers, merchants and food and drink for sale right in the square.

Sunsets are only part of the fun in going to Mallory Square, there are stores to visit and attractions to see. A lively place with music and fast food vendors to see and visit.

The sunsets are nice but if you can getup before the sun comes up, I think the sunrise is better at the White Street pier.

Really enjoyed our time at the sunset watch party! Grab a drink and head down to Mallory square early to get a good spot to watch the sunset.

where to eat near Mallory Square, dinner, on the early side (9 Replies)
Thinking of going down to Mallory Square tonight to see the sunset (assuming we get some more sun!) Any suggestions on where to eat dinner nearby (interested in good food, mostly, although a view and /or good atmosphere would be nice.)

Roof Top Cafe is good , El Meson de Pepe for cuban , and Sunset Pier for a casual laid back meal with great views.

what area to stay for senior with walker? Car, taxi or uber? (5 Replies)
Mom wants to revisit Key West. First and only visit was back in the 50's! She is not walking all that well and uses a walker. Should we stay near Mallory Square or near South Beach? Will we need a car, or do most hotels bring guests to the square? Maybe rent a golf cart? Favorite hotels or b and b? We are arriving by boat from Naples, FL.

I would suggest staying near Mallory Sqaure. There is more things to do and more places to go in that area. You are basically in the heart of the action. I prefer B&B's when I visit but have been to the Peir House on several occasions too. If you gel you need a car check out the Curry Mansion Inn they have a nice lot for parking. Not too many places have a place to park. As for renting a golf cart you might as well just use a car since parking would be the same.

We are early risers, so we made our way to Blue Heaven as soon as they opened. We were taken with the atmosphere, and loved watching the roosters strut around like the ultimate welcoming committee. Luckily, we sat at a table with a large umbrella, as it started raining not long after we got there. We felt that the steady rain just added to the experience, and stretched our meal out as long as we could. Iā€™d heard so much about the Lobster Benedict on here that we had to try it. Hub got bacon...More
