The Treasure is what they charge you.
For one, it’s not nearly worth the price in my opinion. Not a very large museum and I would have liked to seen more for what we paid. The highlight is the tower with the view of Key west. If shipwrecked really interest you then go here, but I wouldn’t really recommend going to the lighthouse museum and this one. Both have similar views. The Lighthouse being the better of the two museums.

Learned So Much - Key West History / Salvage
We really learned a lot about the history of all of the shipwrecks that were salvaged off of Key West. So much of the wealth of Key West came from salvaging.
The museum also opens earlier than the other museums in the area on a Sunday morning. It was a nice way to start the day.
Loved climbing the tower. Great view. Worth the climb!!!

Climb the tower
There is a lot of great information. They cover the great history of key west. The lookout tower provides one of the most beautiful views of key west.

Overpriced and boring
Overpriced and boring. I do not recommend, they should spend money making this a better experience. Seems old, outdated and not well put together.

We learned so much about the history of Key West
Jun 2021
We didn't know what to expect, but really enjoyed learning about the history of Key West. We had no idea it famous for "wrecking". The tour starts with a short video and is self-guided from there. Definitely check out the view from the lookout tower. Only complaint is that it was a bit overpriced.

FUN PIRATE ADVENTURE
Jul 2021
There were no pirates, but they had a fun cast and lots of history. The place looked really neat and a watch tower to look out at the sea.

I highly recommend.

Sort of boring
Jun 2021 • Family
We went to the shipwreck museum as part of our ghost tour. It was kind of boring and I don’t think I’d go back. There were some interesting artifacts though.

Awful experience
Jun 2021 • Friends
Would rated this place a zero if I could. Had been recommended by friends we were traveling with. Usually I love this type of trip, but this was awful. All the people working at the museum were rude. And the museum was boring. Worst money that we spent on trip. Museum needs a completely new group of people. I own several businesses and if I treated my customers like I was treated I would be out of business. I would not recommend if it was free

Fun visit
May 2021 • Family
This was a fun visit for myself and my 12 year old. We enjoyed seeing some of the artifacts. Movie at the beginning was too long.
