Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

I'm not the most motivated when it comes to writing reviews since we were in Key West back in April, but the Blue Planet Kayak Eco-tour was one of the coolest things I've ever done! Our guide James was very knowledgeable and very informative about all the plant and sea life. I'm looking forward to our next trip down there... More

We can't stop talking about the fun my husband daughter and I had on the evening kayaking trip. Lobsters, shrimp, squid, mangrove, spider and other crabs, urchins, rays, glass and needle fish, starfish, conch and the list could go on and on. We plan to go again on our next trip to the keys. The guide was great and the... More

Beautiful day on the water. Our guide was a blast. He educated us on the wild marine life and the natural vegetation and was funny to boot! We even petted a friendly manatee at the dock before heading out. A truly memorable experience for us all.

This was an amazing experience. My husband and I traveled to Key West for our Anniversary and wanted to do more than just eat and drink all weekend. This was an incredibly fun Eco tour featuring the beautiful marine life in Key West. We went on a weekday so we had the guide all to ourselves and he was fantastic,... More

The Eco tour in the mangroves was great! Lots of marine life for the kids to see. However, we questioned going out because it was so windy and we had kayakers with no experience and many small children. The guide said it would not be a problem, but we ended up "towing" several kayaks in our group and calming down... More

The waves and wind were a bit high so the intial paddle to the mangroves was a bit rough but once in the mangroves it was so cool. We got to see some pretty cool stuff and learn some pretty cool stuff from our guide.

We are both 56 and hadn't been in a canoe or kayak in 25 years. We loved this trip. It was easy to do and very educational. Andy, the guide, was very informative and provided many opportunities to view sea life by catching a nurse shark, sea anemones, jelly fish, star fish and many others. Be sure and wear sunscreen.... Our guide was Andy ,and he was very knowledgable about our surroundings. He took his time to pick things up and tell us about what we were seeing and things we would have never seen with out him. We saw spotted eagle rays, nurse sharks, and large Tarpons. It was relaxing and fun.

We went for a late morning paddle. We were lucky that nobody else showed up so we had a private paddle with Andy our guide. He did a great job. He shared a lot of knowledge about the local wildlife, from various birds to sea slugs. We saw a nurse shark, several eagle rays and a huge tarpon. We paddled... More
