Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

Chad was a wonderful Kayak Tour Guide! He explained many features of the Florida waterways and wildlife. We enjoyed our time on the water and going through the mangroves. Sunset was spectacular! Photos turned out great.

Decided on same day to book the tour online. Within minutes we received an email conforming the booking, and within 30 minutes we received a call to confirm the pick-up location as we also took advantage of the hotel transfer to the dock and back. All people affiliated with Blue Planet Kayak were friendly and professional. The guide offered to... More

We are on your honeymoon and we decided to do something different. It was 2,5 hours of fun we went in a tandem kayak. The guide was amazing he was very protective of the nature and he lives his job. He tried to catch a shark so we could so it but after 7 attempts he quit :) he then... More

We did the sunset eco tour and it was so cool! This was me and my family's favorite part of our key west trip. It lasts about 2 1/2 hours. The guide brings a net out with him so he scooped up a bunch of cool critters. He caught (and released) a stingray, lobster, conch, sea urchin (which we got... More

My husband and I went for a morning kayak and it was calming to be on the water and we are still happily married (we had a tandem kayak). The wildlife we saw and got to hold was amazing! This was an experience to remember. No previous kayaking experience needed for this excursion. We can't wait to come back and... More

This was the 2nd time I went out with Blue Planet having used them during my 2015 visit to Key West. Their tour guides are great, well informed and know the terrain. I've used other tours and I find that Blue Planet offers more tour for the buck; more time on the water and the location offers more mangrove sites... More

This was absolutely the best part of our recent vacation to Key West! Having never kayaked before I was a bit apprehensive, but the guidance and friendly encouragement had me a pro in no time. The tour is not rushed and is full of meaningful information. It certainly renews your respect for this earth and our duty to protect it.... More

This is a great way to truly see and appreciate the beautiful and delicate ecosystem that exists in the Florida Keys. After a 5 minute lesson on the dock, we were paddling like pros in no time, even though none of us had done it before. The effort level for the 2 and 1/2 hour tour was very comfortable. Paddling...
