About
Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

Awesome kayak trip for the perfect amount of time. Gear and equipment supply was great, and so was the tour guide. We saw a lot of wildlife and paddled through the mangroves.

This was one of the most fun side trips in the keys. Loved watching bird island, got great pictures of the pelicans, had a ring side seat for the sunset. The top of all of it was playing with the Bioluminescent water after going thru the mangroves. There were 4 of us and everyone had a great time

Loved the trip. Andy was a great guide and happily answered my many questions about the mangrove forests and our planet's health. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed this outing. Serah was a great guide. She was considerate of our varying levels of paddling stamina, adjusting her pace to allow us to rest at times. She was highly knowledgeable about the mangroves, the sea life, and scooped up marine animals for us to examine. She even found a sea turtle in his favorite hang for us to observe. Highly recommend.

We did the 2 hour day-time trip thru the mangroves. Sara was an excellent guide, She provided great info about the vegetation and the sea creatures we encountered. I highly recommend this trip.

The tour itself was excellent. We saw many sea creatures and water fowl and explored numerous creeks through the mangroves. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. The facilities are rude but adequate. Unfortunately, our guide told several racial jokes and made off-color comments that created a good deal of discomfort for my wife and me. Shockingly, some of the staff, we were told, had tied up a noose at the entrance to one of the creeks. Although the noose itself was untied following customer complaints, the rope still hung there. We will not go back.

Our mangrove tour with Chad was really great! He was very knowledgeable about the local history, fauna and flora of the mangroves. His expertise with the tides & winds made this a very enjoyable experience.
