I never saw anything like this under name "Botanical Garden". Even with a free parking and just $2.5 fee you put in envelop and leave in a special box. Wild thickets with a series of posts. Absolute desolation and a sense of hopelessness.

I agree with the other reviews this park is basically abandoned. The trails are poorly marked so even if you attempt to follow with the available park map you get lost. I did find the pond and was able to photograph an iguana that swam...More

It was a very quiet stroll through the park, and the land topography was interesting-the tree hammock led into the mangrove area, and at low tide we walked across the stone path to get to the other side of the hammock to loop around to...More

We were interested in seeing wildlife and tried this park but the map was poorly designed and there was no information about what might be of interest of what we could potentially see, such as interesting flora and fauna, environmental interest details, etc. We walked...More

This is not really a "park" but was a failed development, so there is an asphalt loop that you can walk around. There are some signs on the trees, but many have nothing. It's a pleasant walk, about 1 mile for the half loop, and...More

This park is run down and in a state of disrepair. The paved part of the trail is paved in a checkerboard fashion, as its original purpose was abandoned. It was originally purchased by a Japanese investor that wanted to turn the land into a...More

Walked at Dagny with the kids this morning for the first time since they've started the restoration project and what a difference! It's going to be great when it's done. Amazing to see how fast nature comes back. No bugs and beautiful weather at this...More

Pets are welcome at Florida State Parks on a leash. Just make sure you stay on the trails and bring plenty of bug spray. State parks in the Florida Keys have been impacted by hurricane Irma, so if you're planning a visit, go... More

There is a one mile loop and a 2 mile loop. The full loop is sometimes partially under water. As far as level goes, well, this is the keys, so its flat. This park is taken care of by John Pennekamp State Park, so you have to... More
