Family Sunset Cruise for 12 a Success
Feb 2020
Our Family of 12, including two infants and two toddlers, arranged a private sunset tour that played out perfect. Michael (the owner I'm assuming) was able to set up this 1.5 hour tour literally 24 hours in advance because of my poor planning (and ability to find an operator doing this and capable of carrying more than 6 people).

Capt. Wolfman and the mate were extremely accommodating for our maniac children and shared some interesting facts and history about the Keys.

It was great, the kids were excited and worn out and the adults were happy to get out of the house, all at a reasonable cost for a group our size.

stress free diving

Did two dives in Jan 2020 with this company. There were only two divers (including me) and our dive guide George. It was truly a stress-free trip. They helped me set up the gear and helped me get back to the boat. Let them know where you want to go dive in Key Largo. They will listen and make some recommendations based on the weather.

No frills solid diving experience.

We had a group of six on a boat that holds 15. That gave us plenty of room and also allowed us to have input into where we were diving. The captain and the mate or both very friendly and helpful. The diving was quite shallow at about 30 feet. This enabled us to have pretty long dives, but as a result we were a little bit rushed between dives, and after the second dive, in order to make it back in time for the next group to leave. The boat was comfortable, but there were no extras like snacks or drinks. All the had was cold water on the boat. Overall a very good outfit, but nothing extra that would warrant an excellent rating.

Weekend get away

On a whim, my husband and I visited Island Ventures for two days. Mike, his wife and Wolfman, our boat Captain, were behind accommodating. Each took their time to ensure our desires and diving needs were met! Outstanding service, we will be back with our friends.

It really is stress free diving

We went out with Capt. Wolfman (that's right) and divemaster George. The equipment is well maintained - very important. We had 4 divers onboard. Great personal attention topside and underwater. Can't remember a better PADI dive operator.

Great private dive charter!

Five friends booked a private diving charter for four days. The boat was roomy and well maintained. Michael and Wolfman were great captains. Our guide Kerry was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Lessa (one of the owners) was so nice and made booking and paying easy. We dived the Spiegel Grove, Benwood and some reefs. I would definitely recommend Island Ventures for a small group. They provide drinking water on the boat but you need to bring your own snacks. We left at 8am and returned about noon. Thanks for a great time!

Definitely would go again with Island Ventures

We took a family tour, a mix of scuba and snorkel. We had a great time with Captain Ed and Dive Master Will. The boat is in very good shape, has all the safety measures, briefing process with Captain Ed and Dive Master Will was excellent. They took us to the Christ Statue and the Horseshoe Reef, there were amazing reefs, plenty of sea life. The scuba and snorkeling gear were great. All the check-in process with Lisa was great also. Five Stars to Island Ventures!!!!!!

What a spectacular experience! Michael and Carrie took us to three special spots for snorkeling during our half day charter and all were better than expected! What a gift to experience the beauty of the Florida Keys in this way!

Excellent snorkeling charter

Mike, the owner (and his assistant Carrie) took my family of 5 out to one of the reefs and to Christ of the Deep. It was excellent. They are so friendly and helpful and very concerned about safety. Some of our family had not snorkeled before and they were very patient and gave us lot of tips about snorkeling. They were genuinely concerned we had a good time and were able to lots of fish! I highly recommend the 1/2 day private trip for one family or two, because you get a lot of time snorkeling and if you do not want to snorkel, you can just sit on the boat and look at the gorgeous scenery! Carrie has a lot of experience diving and also living in the Keys, so she can recommend great places to snorkel and sightsee. I would definitely book with them again.

Great for adults and teens alike
We brought 5 divers and 4 snorkelers to Island Ventures while we were on a trip to Marine Lab. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful as 2 students were on their first dives outside of training dives. The reef was beautiful and we say amazing wildlife.

Thanks for the great review. We love having mixed snorkel and scuba trips. The two dives you did on molasses reef were amazing on that day, what a great introduction to scuba diving for your newly certified divers!
