We spent my 32nd birthday morning snorkeling the Christ of the deep and Grecian rock locations. I wanted to high five Jesus on my birthday. Come to find out due to fire coral and other risks, you shouldn't touch the statue. The reefs and fish were a bit more abundant at the Grecian rocks, but the statue was worth the... More

After seeing Grecian Rocks, it couldn't measure up. It was interesting though. There was some good coral & fish viewing too. We also ran into a lot of jellyfish there. It is that time of year, though.

Went to see this on an excursion with John Pennekamp State Park snorkel trip. The trip was fantastic, however, when we arrived at this spot ( the last stop on the 4hr snorkel trip) once in the water it looked like the water was filled with confetti- jelly fish. Holy cow, I never saw so many jelly fish. Waves were... More

Knowing the history of the statues of Christ made this a cool dive. The day we were there, visibility was pretty poor. The statue makes for a good picture for groups.

well, it 's off the check list. we were lucky though, the water was relatively clear and there weren't many tourists so we were able to get some good footage. my understanding is this site can get VERY busy, which I'm sure would take away from the experience. If you do go, DON'T touch the thing. there is fire coral... More

This area is by boat only. Best to leave from the State Park. Bring your underwater camera. Remember to tip the captain too.

unfortunately, all thr coral is dead. Personally there are many other places to enjoy scuba diving in the keys than in this place. Respectfully is not worth it to waist your time here. But do want to make sure, there are many other places with LIVE CORAL and many fish better than this one. Sorry
