If you are a diver in the keys or a snorkeler this is a must stop. It is in middle of Pennecamp underwater park and this and Grecian reef are the things to see-- I have dived all over world and love coming back to largo.Great lodging food and very tranquil place only 45 minutes from Miami. Very tranquil location.

You must see this if you are going to Pennecamp park! This is like seeing Christ the Redeemer, but in the ocean! I felt a sense of tranquility as I looked at the statue, which overlooked the ocean.

What a cool statue! Though you can't touch it because of the fire coral, it was very neat to see. I love the story behind it. I think it honors the Cressi family well.

Even though it doesn't change, when my family and I visit our favorite of the keys (Key Largo - for the food and diving), we always go out on one of the local dive boats to see this. Frankly, its a pretty easy snorkel - and with younger kids, its one of the places we feel pretty good, and safe,... More

Boarded "The Journey" at John Pennekamp Park - Capt. Brian and Lance headed us out - thankfully it was a gorgeous day and it was early enough that "Dry Rock" (where the statue is located) wasn't really busy. The entire surrounding area to the statue is phenomenal! We saw tons of fish (snappers, groupers, yellow tail, Sargent Majors, parrot fish)... More

The clarity of the water, the abundant fish and colorful reef...simply amazing! A must for all to see. If you are unable to snorkel, you must be take one of the glass bottom boat tours!

My three teenagers loved the snorkel trip to Christ of the Deep. Visibility was 40 feet and we saw some beautiful sea life, including a baby sea turtle! Teenagers listed it as a highlight of the trip to Key Largo
