Parties By Pat @ Crandon Golf Key Biscayne was an incredible wedding experience for us. From beginning to end, Violet, the event manager was accessible, attentive and offered personal suggestions based on our vision and personalities. We got married in March 2022 with 150 people with a "Tropical Elegance and Garden Formal theme" . We had the ceremony on the golf course, dance floor outside + upstairs under the twinkle lights, buffet dinner inside the restaurant, and an awesome lounge area on the bottom platform. The day of staff were notably experienced and passionate about making sure my husband and I were comfortable all night. From the moment we entered our party, they were waiting to take our drink order and during dinner had our plates ready at our sweetheart table cut up into bite size pieces. I could go on, and on about all the amazing touches Parties By Pat added, but the biggest for me were trust and peace of mind knowing their team was going to deliver. I havent even begun talking about the food quality or taste yet. If you're a foodie and want your guests to remember a delicious wedding, then definitely look no further. I am still dreaming about the food options we had, and they even made a special menu for the amount of vegan/gluten-free requirements we had for a number of our guests. All of our bridal party pix on the golf course during sunset ceremony came out stunning and our portrait photos along the bay and Miami skyline were perfection. Being able to use one of the golf carts to ride off into the sunset for our pix was fun and helped enhance our experience as well. Because we were the only ones at the venue and were isolated on Key Biscayne we didn't have to worry about noise levels, parking availability or competing with other parties for attention. It is easy to understand why Parties By Pat have been so successful for 20+ years! Lastly, I want to thank Violet again for her suggestion to have "to-go" Krispy Kremes at the end of the night before we got back on our shuttle busses for the hotel. It was a hit. Our vision was exceeded, I'm still floating in gratitude and amazement at how well everything turned out, and our friends and family are still talking about the venue, food, bar menu and dessert station.

This is a public course, but this is no “muni”.

When you drive into the parking lot the clubhouse sits beautifully parallel to the parking lot, with a peek a boo view of Biscayne bay.

Nice practice area with chipping and putting and some irons area. A net protects the hitting area and keeps balls from going into one of the front 9 fairways.

First, this sits in the prime real estate of Key Biscayne, with views of the bay and city of Miami. The slope, indicating the difficulty, is on par with very challenging public course.

Eight Lagoons with mangrove swamps, combined with some difficult to hold and protected greens make this a challenge even for the excellent golfer.

Expect to lose a few golf balls, and take some layups to save bogey. Choose your tee box carefully because you will need the lower irons into the green to hold the ball and have a chance for par/birdie.

We played after 2:00, for the discounted rate of $70, or $60, if you show a military ID.

In the AM, it’s $176 (Winter rates), and sometimes requires a caddie). That seems a little steep for this course to me. Carts were equipped with GPS which was very helpful.

I found this challenging and a GREAT value at the afternoon rate. There was little wind the day we played so that made it a bit easier for our game… combine this place with 20 MPH and you might want to go home after nine holes.

A word about the wildlife… Jurassic park size iguanas’ everywhere!!! And Raccoons that are well fed from raiding your cart while putting. DON'T leave snacks in your cart or you can say goodbye to them. Birds everywhere, but no Crocs spotted at least the day we were there.

Get out there, you will have a good time.... even if you do donate a few balls to the lagoons or mangroves.

My wife and I recently played at this course a few weeks ago. We were both amazed at how well kept this course is (esp as a public course). Holes are challenging and scenic and a lot of fun to play! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Key Biscayne/Miami that doesn’t want to spend a ton on a private course.

My husband and I played here on March 5 and got the twilight rate after 2:00 pm for $70 per person. This was a great course, very playable and fair. It was so beautiful in the late afternoon as we were finishing up. We really enjoyed the round. The women's tee boxes were placed nicely past a lot of the water carry overs, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this one. The round of 18 took about 4 hours so not too long really.

Very well-kept public golf course here in key Biscayne. The greens are extremely difficult but very subtle. We had a lot of wind and a number of holes and of course there are a great many water hazards you need to carry. Overall it’s an extremely challenging course that’s in good condition but also extremely expensive for what it is. The guest greens fee is 175 and the club rentals are 10-year-old Wilson’s which is kind of embarrassing at this price point. The restaurant serve some good sandwiches for your proverbial 19th hole. I’ll plan to go back next time I’m here.

Played here in late May 2007, this course was a nice surprise. I was in Florida a few days early to get in some golf before a conference I was attending. This course was my favorite of Doral - Blue Monster, Westin Diplomat, and Emerald Hills. This is a municipal course, that has fantastic views, lots of wildlife, a good course, and a fair price. I highly recommend skipping some of the high priced courses in the area and play this one instead.

About a year ago, I wrote a rather uncharitable review of this facility and the golfing experience that it provided. Since that time, some interesting developments have occurred that promise to restore this sleeping beauty to its once-lofty position among south Florida courses. With the retirement of two well-intentioned but poorly equipped Dade County officials, Robert Montesino has taken the reins for all county public-access courses and has launched a major initiative to elevate its centerpiece---Crandon Park Golf Course--- to the level of a truly destination golfing experience. Once host to one of the major tournaments on the PGA Seniors Tour, this Devlin-VonHagge jewel had fallen on hard times and was plagued by haphazard maintenance, overcrowding and undermarshalling with the result that rounds were taking 51/2 to 6 hours on a course that had fallen into severe disrepair. Montesino has enlisted the on-site assistance of course greens superintendant Brian Field, whom he recruited from Fisher Island, and over the past two months the course has started to assume some of its former polish. It is my understanding that architects are also planning a new short game practice area which will complement the existing range and chip/putt practice facilities.
The course itself is as much golf as you want, I don't care what level of skill you posess. Nearly 7400 yards from the tips, the course also has four other tee positions allowing you to bite off smaller challenges, which will likely be all you can chew anyway. The very first hole, a double dogleg over water with a narrow, heavily protected green, gives you a glimpse of what you are in for, and it is quickly followed up by the third: a beautiful middle distance par three; the fourth: a monster, 600 yard par five (from the tips); the seventh: a dogleg par four with a long approach to the green over water (my vote for the most challenging hole on the course); and the eighth: a short par three obeisance to Donald Ross with an elevated turtleback green that punishes severely any lapse in either distance or direction. The back nine is equally beautiful and equally challenging, with eleven (a long par four to a redan green), twelve (a long par three over water), seventeen (a 200-plus yard par three from blue or black tees) and eighteen (think of hitting your drive down a shotgun barrel; and don't miss the most spectacular view of downtown Miami on your right as you make your second shot). All told, this is as challenging and rewarding a course as you can find in South Florida without paying a six-figure membership fee. A recent deal with Caddy Master Enterprises to provide professional grade forecaddies (included in green fee, but tip of $20/bag is appropriate and well worth the money) has lowered median playing times to about 41/2 hours, which is a HUGE improvement. If the efforts to bring this baby up to its former standard continue, Mr. Trump will have his hands full trying to make the Blue course at Doral a comparable golfing experience.

This is a very nice golf course, challenging (all greens are elevated, protected and difficult, plenty of water in play, some narrow fairways) and very well positioned in Key Biscayne.
Just bring your mosquito repellent..... if you play there during summer you're likely to be eaten alive.

We had a fantastic day at Crandon, we were on holiday from England and managed to get an all in green fee of $80 which inc GPS buggy and Titleist AP1's with a choice of shafts. Course has 5 different tees so is suitable for all levels. It was in great condition and although busy we were round in 3 hrs 30. Lots of wildlife to see whilst playing and a lot of water so take plenty of balls! Staff were top notch, free wifi in bar and some good value caps and t shirts in the pro shop. When we next visit Miami we will definitely play here again.
