Captain Scott did a great job with our boys 9 and 12. The boys did not have much fishing experience and he quickly had them baiting the line and catching fish.
In the short trip we caught many smaller fish and 5 sharks that were a good fight. Four hours seems like the right amount on time for the family trip.

This was our third fishing trip with Captain Scott and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great day on the water. He is very friendly, personable, and worked hard to get fish in the boat. Captain Scott is great with kids and he truly enjoys sharing his knowledge and teaching others. He has good quality gear, used a variety of baits, and his boat offered a comfortable and stable ride. I have been on many other fishing charters and I can safely say that you can’t go wrong with Captain Scott.

Our family's 4-hour trip with Captain Scott was very enjoyable. We have 4 children ranging in ages from 6 to 11 and each were able to catch reef and blacktip sharks, a stingray, and many other bait fish! He was great with each one and their skill level, which made it enjoyable for the children and us parents as well. One of our kids is prone to seasickness and he promised no one has ever gotten sick on his boat, fortunately his promise held true and our some felt great the whole trip. We'd recommend this fine gentleman for any family that is looking for an Amelia Island charter.

Yesterday several of us, spent an afternoon and sunset tour with the Captain, to photograph the day and to discover a little more about where we live. What an enjoyable and memorable afternoon!
Capt Scotts 20 years of piloting passengers to pleasant experiences, really comes through with his humorous and knowledgeable stories that he shares about our local area history, about our particular wildlife and birds, as well as his fishing intuition. Even us old locals each enjoyed learning unknown tidbits and things we didn't know that we didn't know.
The pontoon boat is spotless and comfortable. We will be doing this again! This boat ain't just fer tourists, I would suggest that anybody and everybody could benefit from a few hours with Captain Scott.
Thank you Captain!

We decided, as flying into Jacksonville, that we wanted to see the area by boat early in our trip. Captain Scott personally answered our call & had time available the next morning. Our family of 4 had plenty of room on his pontoon boat, which could easily accommodate 10 people. It was fully covered and in pristine condition. My teenagers loved playing their music as we cruised around Amelia Island. We had a 2 hour tour of the area. We saw dolphin, horses and other wildlife. Captain Scott is a wealth of information about the area and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions. I highly recommend touring with Amelia Island Charters.

My favorite part of the trip was the fact that Captain Scott was very informative throughout, right down to notifying us when the best sunset shots would occur, plus his taking a picture of our family with the sunset in the background (pic not included here). Our close-up view of Cumberland Island (along with a description of its history of development, or LACK THEREOF, from the first settlers to the present day) was not only beautiful to see first-hand but also to appreciate for educational edification. Also, seeing the King's Bay Naval Base in the distance and knowing that Trident Nuclear Subs passed in and out to sea through the exact same waters we were cruising through was really neat. Our entire family was thrilled and inspired by BOTH the boat trip itself and Captain Scott's friendly, communicative demeanor in all respects!

Wonderful time with Captain Scott. His knowledge of the locale with interesting historical facts and his ability to engage the three 11 year olds to learn how to do all the aspects of fishing; from cutting the bait to baiting their hook and reeling properly was a joy to watch. His pleasant demeanor and positive attitude kept everyone confident, and when the fish started biting the fun really began! It was a really enjoyable 4 hour trip that our daughter and her two friends will all be able to share and cherish.

We did a fishing charter with Captain Scott on 2/15. Although the weather was iffy (wind) Captain Scott did a great job trying to put us on some fish. While we didn’t get skunked, we did have to stop at the fish market for dinner. He was incredibly patient with my daughter, encouraging her all the way. Highly recommended.

Our fishing trip with Captain Scott was the best part of our fall break vacation. Captain Scott helped my kids (ages 9 and 12) catch several redfish, a skate, a shark, and a trout. All except the trout were put back in the water, but Capt Scott cleaned the trout and my daughter took it to the restaurant across the street for lunch. Capt Scott also told us about the local history, and took us by Cumberland Island where we saw a wild horse. Excellent day, and one we won’t soon forget. Thank you, Capt Scott!

How often do you see whales?

You only see whales offshore in the winter. Inshore tours you see dolphins, wild horses on Cumberland Island, manatees, and a lot of bird life.
