Relaxing Experience
Aug 2020
I truly enjoyed my entire spa experience, from appointment request, to confirmation call, greeting at spa, relaxation area and of course, my two spa technicians. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and I very much enjoyed my facial. Looking forward to returning and bringing my husband or friends.

Best Pedicure on Amelia Island/Betty is Wonderful
Jul 2020
I love coming to the Spa at Amelia Island Plantation for monthly pedicures. Betty is the absolute best pedicurist I've ever had. In this time of social distancing and such, Betty takes her time in a private room to do the spa pedicure, which is extremely detailed and time consuming, and most of all quiet (not like other nail salons, where there is a crowded room of people having services done). I've had treatments at other hotels on the island, and I can honestly say, that for pedicures, this is the best place in the area, and priced really well for the time spent on the service.

Betty takes extreme care and time with me each time I've been here, and her pedicures LAST. I went from March 2020, then because of Covid-19, couldn't get another pedicure until July 2020, and I was able to paint over my toe nails and make it work in between. As I said, Betty is wonderful and will take great care of your pedicure needs and she does facials as well.

I will continue to return as long as Betty is working at the spa. One of my favorites on Amelia Island.

Wonderful experience!
Nov 2019 • Couples
We went for a couples massage and had a wonderful experience . We arrived a little early and sat around to relax once we had changed into our robes. We were offered herbal tea choices and water. The massages were very nice. Quite relaxing and the hot towels added an extra special touch. Afterwards we were taken to a relaxation room to rest (which is a foreign concept to us 😂). Finally, you can end your experience in a hot steam shower which was heavenly compared to the shower in our room. They had every product you needed to leave there feeling clean and refreshed including shampoo, conditioner, soaps, mouthwash, lotion, hair dryer, curling iron, Moroccan oil hair products etc. It was quite expensive but comparable to other places we have been but a better overall experience from start to finish in my opinion. Very very lovely time!!

Happy Wife, Happy Life!!
Oct 2019 • Solo
My wife had a perfect experience at the Spa at the AIP and she even stated it was the best spa day she has ever experienced in her life!

She had the Plantation Blossom treatment which was a perfect trifecta of an exfoliating body treatment, foot reflexology and body massage and she said it flowed perfectly over the 80 minutes! She literally could not believe 80 minutes had went by...too quick! Lol and spectacular!

She then had the Youth Renewal Facial and stated that her face has not felt this refreshed, smooth since her twenties. She was pumped and excited about how she felt and looked and she did look amazing and she kept using the word “refreshed”. Gorgeous indeed!

And finished it off with a Spa Pedicure which she said was delightful too yet simply does not compare once you have had the two services mentioned above!!

So exciting and she said she looks forward to her next Spa Day at the AIP because the “best” always gets you excited and an exciting day indeed!

Enjoy the invigorating and refreshing Spa at Amelia Island Plantation!

Great Foot Massage
Aug 2019
I brought my husband in for a foot reflexology massage for his birthday. We enjoyed a side by side couples treatment. Susan and Courtney both did an outstanding job. My husband never had a massage before so this was a great treat for him!

ALICIA IS THE BEST
Feb 2019 • Solo
I AM VERY DISCRIMINATING AND PARTICULAR ABOUT BODY WORK. Have had a lot of massage, for years. i have little expectation when traveling about getting a good massage, and rarely book at a resort. However, this was a gift and i went to the Spa at Amelia with out high expectations. BOY OH BOY!! the Spa is simple, quiet and nice. the greeting was warm and the "comfort coordinator" (gotta love that) Lavern was amazingly helpful. BUT, ALICIA WAS MAGIC. Excellent, experience fabulous massage.... one of the best I HAVE EVER HAD.... this, for me is a high bar.... Excellent.

I had a deep tissue by Alicia and she was amazing. Probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I wish I lived close bc I’d come see her at least once a month.

Not a good review
Feb 2018
I called the spa and said I wanted a cuticle trim and polish removal. They said we call that a polish change and it will be $20
When I arrived the girl doing my nails was very sweet. I explained what I wanted and she said oh that's a mini manicure it will be more to which I replied no problem. (At that Point if she did not have the time to do the manicure she should have stated such I would've been content that a mistake was made and just had my polish removed for $20) instead she rushed the job and barely trimmed the cuticles. (Again she was very nice but...)When she was finished She dashed off while I was still drying when I checked my nails i saw she had left some of my old polish (red) and covered it with the new (a clear shade) at the desk I was charged $50+ I said ok but if I'm going to pay that can we clean up my polish? The manager was stern faced and non apologetic (she seemed annoyed at my request and made no effort to hide it)and said I'll see if we can fit you in. (Really??) A different nail technician cleaned up the polish and was very sweet. I spent the afternoon reading and took a fast shower then went to dinner at dinner I noticed the polish was lifting on two of the nails! $50??
I'm not going to tell them at the spa because of the rudeness I received earlier. A manager should have acknowledged the error and been courteous about fixing it.
Basically my bad review is about her attitude. Mistakes happen no need to be rude

Spa savvy yet didn’t meet my expectations..
Dec 2017 • Family
Being in the business I know I have high expectations. Upon arrival with our party of 5, we were all super excited. When we arrived we all looked at each other with big eyes Bc the outside of the Spa Space didn’t look like it could be a 5* Spa. When the doors opened I said wow how beautiful. We were lead into the locker rooms and warmly greeted. The Spa hostess was lovely and very accommodating. I was scheduled for a facial, my Mom, Aunt and Brother for massages and my 11 yr old daughter for the Princess Pedi.

After we changed we all met in the beautifully appointed Relaxation Area. We were offered infused water and began filling in our forms. We were giggling (my aunt was to have a male therapist) and we were so happy to share this experience. Our Therapist greeted us as a Team and off we went...

When I called to schedule 5 massages the lovely and friendly receptionist informed me they had a special on massages/facials for $99. I said ohhh that’s like music to my ears. My daughter was not allowed to partake in the massages or facials based on their age requirement. I explained she is in the business as well and if the receptionist could seek a managers approval so she could join me in a couples room for a massage or even a facial. It wasn’t allowed which was fine. She needed a pedi anyways...

After our respective treatments we all met again and sipped tea and water and began telling of our experiences. My facial was good. My esthetician has many years of experience and we connected. When I arrived in my treatment room I inquired about the products she was planning to use which was not a natural or organic line. I told her I use Eminence and so she recommended another natural brand, Naturopathic. Only thing I felt I missed during the facial was extractions, which wasn’t offered and we were so busy talking I didn’t realize it till after the facial. What’s a facial without deep cleansing but overall it was good?!?

The massages were enjoyed by all. My aunt especially thought her male therapist was thorough and attentive. My daughter rated the pedicure as okay. After all she’s had the best since she was a baby.

I did a little shopping in the retail area as I always like to try new lines. This is where the quencher comes in:( As I went to pay my bill was more than $300 than I was expecting. I kindly asked for an itemized list of what I purchased. The same sweet receptionist who had attended me on the phone was assisting me as I was checking out along with the Spa Director. The Spa Director stepped in as she saw my disbelief and started giving me the price per line item. Massages/facials were $145 not the offered $99 and the princess pedi was now $99, not the offered $45😳!

It took more than 30 minutes to correct the tickets and I was getting more impatient by the minute as the Spa Director said oh you asked for the special. My response was no I was offered the special. At any rate I cancelled my Quartz Stone massage I had booked for the next morning. When inquiring about the final bill and the service charge, the arrogant Spa Director replied what’s customary for tipping in the industry! Well living and breathing and owning 5 Spa locations in the Caribbean I am the last person who needs a right of passage in the industry. I think Amelia Island needs a 5* Spa../
