Great way to learn the history of the Historic District of Amelia Island

Riding in an open trolley you can learn about the fascinating history of Fernandina. It is a living museum with lots of perfectly preserved and maintained Victorian houses.

Interesting with lots of information about the island. Wish we had gone earlier in our trip as we learned of several things we would have liked to have done but just ran out of time. The day we took the tour it was 102 degrees outside but the trolley was still comfortable. The tour guide was informative and answered any... More

We were glad we took this tour because we saw things we might not have otherwise. The guide was knowledgeable, telling interesting stories about the history of the island. Saw a great sampling of the architecture (lots of neat old houses).

The tour is worthwhile for anyone with an interest in Fernandina Beach's long and colorful history. The guide took us by many landmarks, including old homes and other places that earned a spot in local history books. My cousin and I learned a lot and were glad we took the tour.

We took the 12:30 pm tour but was late getting started as the tour guide had forgotten the keys to the trolley at home. The tour was $20 per person which I thought was expensive for what it was. Once we got started we covered most of the island and learned about its past, present and future. Our guide had... More

Big shout for Vic Garvin and his excellent team. They shuttled my wife and I to and from the Omni Amelia Plantation Resort from Jacksonville Airport recently. Punctual, courteous, knowledgable of the area and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. GW from GB.

I would definitely recommend taking one of the trolley tours, and as close to the beginning of your stay as possible. In my opinion, is one of the best ways to learn what Amelia has to offer, and to gather information on how you may wish to schedule time around what appeals most to you. The tour guide was very informative... More

Planned our day around the trolley tour & it was cancelled. Can't believe they would cancel on a Saturday when there are a lot of tourists in town.
