Good for everyone to see the critters who live in the River and the shoreline near by. Excellent presentations and touch tank.

The center is well maintained, but it is easy to cover quickly. There are some specimen drawers under some of the love displays. The touch tank had a variety of sea urchins, a sea cucumber, conch and sea star. There is a small butterfly garden behind the building, and a playground in the park.

This place is very informative! There are a couple of aquariums with different fish and turtles, who live in the waters from river to ocean. The exhibit is very interactive and would be interesting for kids as well as for adults. You can even touch the sea urchin!!! That is so exciting! They organize different events for public and work... More

Okay, was asked to repost, so here it is. Its a Palm Beach County maintained park with a canoe rental center. My two boys and I rented a canoe and brought a picnic. Great adventure for the day. Great for first timers. Get a true Florida feeling just off of I95. Only problem was getting off canoe for picnic, there... More

Great exhibits for young people and the people who bring them. This is a fun place for everyone. The staff know a lot about the Loxahatchee River and love to share their knowledge and experiences.

Kids story time is great. Great staff. So is the touch tank. My only suggestion would be have a different age groups for story time.

Perfect for the entire family to see local sea life and nature, better understand the local water and eco issues. All this info and science is presented free and in a fun interactive easy to understand manner for adults and kids alike. They also offer Eco camps for kids and Eco presentations. Be sure to leave a small donation. Enjoy!

The River Center had friendly staff and exhibits that were fun to see. There were energetic turtles, several aquarium of fish and a tank of sea urchins. While they were almost no signs, the staff were available to answer questions and just watching the wildlife was entertaining for a long time. Although donations are requested, they are not required, and... More

The LRC is a great place to visit with children. We took our 4 and 7 yo and had a lovely visit. There are a number of large fish tanks with regional wildlife, interactive exhibits and a touch tank for the children to hold some sea creatures. Check the website for activities, such as Thursday morning story time and coffee,... More

Canoeing, camping, paddle boarding. The park has hundreds of acres of well preserved rivers and forest. You can take a boat tour, which is what I did, and go to a remote campground from decades ago. Or you can rent Kayaks, like my wife did, and paddle around the small inlets. Cool to do. Once.
