Overview
The Loxahatchee River is a National Wild and Scenic River in Florida, but the stretch is more than seven miles (11 kilometers) long, and if you don’t know which way to go, it could get confusing. This Loxahatchee River Kayak Tour lets you cruise the river with a guide and a group in a kayak. Keep an eye out for animals hidden in the beautiful Cypress tree forest along the route.

Danny and Michael welcomed us with open arms during our trip from Outside Philadelphia. They exhibited excellent customer service with a friendly and helpful manner. They provided insights on the river. We did a self-guided tour and saw both a manatee and alligator. Danny gave us insights on other activities in the area. What a great experience!

My wife and I rented a two-person canoe for a two hour adventure. I’ve been in South Florida for 30 years. This is the best back to nature experience ever. The river is shallow with a very mild current. 80% of the paddling was totally shaded. Breathtaking scenery along the shores, crystal clear water, and lots of wildlife: manatee, fish, and turtles. Most of the river averages 2 or 3 feet deep. We paddled/drifted eastward for about 45 minutes, then returned to the launching area, easy paddling back. The temperature that day was about 90, but we were totally comfortable, plus there were no bugs. Wear an old pair of sneakers, so you can get your feet wet. Swim suit is totally optional. ALL of the personnel were smiling, happy, and very friendly. The County’s facility and restrooms were spotless and new. Make sure you reserve ahead of time and fill out the waivers online for an easy check in. You cannot go wrong here.

If you like outdoor experiences and you're in the Jupiter area, don't miss this. Making the reservation was simple, the river was beautiful, and the paddling was easy. Saw lots of birds, fish, turtles, and a couple small alligators. If you're an experienced kayaker or in shape, I'd suggest doing the 4-hour trip if you have time. I went on the 2-hour trip and it was over before I knew it. The park that this is in is also a cool place to visit; leave time to explore. This is a "real Florida" place/experience that too many visitors to the Sunshine State miss.

We rented kayaks to explore the Loxahatchee river. The reservation and checkin process was very efficient and the people helping us were quite friendly. They gave us a lot of great tips that made the trip enjoyable. We saw several osprey and their nests, and an alligator, and lots of birds. We had a great time and would do it again next time we are in the area!
