Overview
The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

We loved our trip down the Loxahatchee. We rented two single kayaks and went to the trapper cabin and back, 2 hours down but 4 hours back. The foliage was beautiful and the trees kept us cool. It was fun navigating the high waters and making our way over logs and stumps. We

Beautiful little river to peacefully glide down in a canoe or kayak. We had both on our trip with three boys over 20 for Father's Day. Stopped to cool off on a rope swing. Even the boys just wanted to be still and see the beautiful trees and plants that were perfectly reflected
