This is THE best dog park one could want. It's a private dog park so you do have to pay to get in. It is well worth the$10 entry. One can also get a membership which will save you money. But again it's so worth the price. My border collie adores this park. She swims in the pond. Catches her ball from her Chuckit!. The park even supplies toys if you don't bring your own. They even have a separate agility area. Lots of space for her to run. Then, when she's finished getting dirty I take her inside for a bath. Hot water and soap. This is an extra cost but it's well worth the cost. I live in Ocala and wish I could get there more often because I would have another membership. Bring your shot records with you. I adore this place!!!!!! I'm headed back tomorrow........

WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE!!
Not only do you meet so many nice four legged friends, but you also meet their very nice owners.
It is a safe enviorrment for you and your dog.
You can take a walk with your dog ,or sit by the pond while your
dog sniffs around or takes a swin in the pond
The dogs are so happy to be off leash and free to run and play.
and so ready to sleep on the way home.
All the people running the park are so very helpful and kind.
It's the best thing that has happened to Citrus County.

We took our dog hereafter times. The staff on the first visit were awesome, they showed us the facility and showers, explained everything to us. Then it was play time, my dog (rhodesian ridgeback) had a blast. They have a pond and he loved it. Great place and great times.

I do not recommend anyone bringing their small dog to this park. The day I was there, the owner's dog turned on my dog very aggressively, knocking it down. My dog is only 12 pounds. Her dog about 3 times bigger. Owner had a hard time restraining her dog. Owner then took her two dogs out of the park, only to allow them back about one hour later. I had to leash my dog and eventually leave. All this on my first visit. Not worth it.

Trip advisor does not allow recounts of even reliable sources. However, my experience was to be warned by management that there were two known aggressive dogs that are permitted to frequent the park, one required to be kept in a central unfenced area "away from" the other dogs ( that means about 100 feet/no barrier for this German Shepherd) and one (another shepherd type mutt) on a leash in the unleashed area. If you go, I urge you to ask the group to identify the aggressive dogs and ask if any of their dogs have been attacked. I don't know why you would go.

The park is a nice facility with plenty of trees and a small natural pond for swimming.

Unfortunately 3 out of 5 times I've been there with my 2 dogs we had some bad experiences with aggressive dogs there.

One time one dog ended up with a bad injury of his eye due to an attack of another dog (he needed to get stitches at the vet). I was lucky I got my dogs away from it before it even started. The lady that owned the dog just said, that her dog is a bit protective (!!!).

I went to the park management to ask them if they knew that lady and her dogs and they said yes and that they know that this dog is protective but that nothing besides growling ever happened and that the lady comes to the park everyday ever since it was opened.

I expressed that I don't feel that knowingly aggressive dogs should be allowed in the facility.

Anyhow, they ensured me that they would find a solution and send me a note about the outcome. I never got any message. Meantime I heard from other people that there have been more problems with this dog but dog and lady are still is allowed in the park.

Sorry, but this is not safe and bad management! Not worth a 40min ride and 15 dollars entree fee.

Too bad, the park is nice

I opened the door to the office to be greeted by an aggressive, off-leash dog. My dog has been attacked by other dogs and is shy, so I shut the door immediately. The Manager came out and talked to me about the cost ($10/day) which I was stunned about (I'm used to municipal dog parks and beaches), but I was willing to consider. Then she told me that my dog had to go through a test to see if she would react to a dog barking at her. I explained that she was shy, but would remain on the leash. She stated that leashes weren't permitted in the park. I got the feeling that this is an exclusive club, not a dog park.

The website clearly states it was open till 7:30pm. We arrived about 5:30pm and after getting half of the application filled out the woman behind the desk says they lock the gates in 30mins. I'm sorry but I'm not going to pay $10 for 30mins! We drove an hour from Ocala to check out this park. Never again. The woman wasn't very friendly by any means and he dog was snarling and barking at ours (I'm sorry but if your going to have a dog behind the counter it doesn't need to act like that). Apparently if you have the 300 dollar membership you could be there till then..ridiculous, if I'm paying to be there it better be worth it and for that amount of time it wouldn't have been. After our experience and after reading these reviews I won't be back!

I thought a day with my family and our puppy would be great! After searching and reading reviews about this place I thought it would be a perfect day. NO WHERE did I read children under the age of 14 aren't allowed in the park. Nor is there ANY mention of a $10 a day fee,$5 for each additional dog. If I would have seen this information,I wouldn't have drove all that way to be turned down

I am a member of the park, and have been for around 2 1/2 years now, although it says below that I visited in October, 2011, that was the oldest date offered and the review cannot be submitted without a date. My dogs absolutely love being there, in fact, they know my routine, and when it's getting time to start getting ready to go, they pace around, stare at me and complain to me that we haven't left yet! It is so nice for them, they can run, play, stalk squirrels, swim, catch balls, and if they're strong enough, swing from the big tree with the rope & ball hanging from it. It's alot of fun to watch them make friends and run/play with them. Sometimes, one chasing another will wind up in a long line of dogs running from one side of the park to the other. The members are friendly, and the staff is awesome. So, if you're travelling this way, and you's like a great place to take your dog[s], this is definitely it!!!!
