A charming winery just outside of Ocala
Jun 2021 • Family
Amy and her husband provided a most enjoyable and informative wine tasting session. They very carefully explain the differences between each of their selections and give an interesting story associated with each one.
She is a naturally charming woman without any pretense whatsoever.
Even the dogs make you feel welcome.

Perfect Detour
Oct 2019 • Couples
My husband and I happened to notice this winery on the map of wineries in Florida while on our way to St. Augustine for the weekend. Perfect! I will say that the drive back to this winery is a bit questionable and you may even consider turning around... DO NOT. We arrived right about 11:00 which is when they open. There was no one there but a note on the door saying to call the phone # if no one in the shop. We felt a little strange about disturbing anyone so we sat there for a minute discussing what to do when the owner pulled up with her dog. To our good fortune! This was one of the best tastings we have ever experienced. These are sweet wines and meads, so if you don’t like sweet, you may not like these. We like sweet. And we now know that we love meads! The sampling fee is $5 which is applied to your purchase. We sampled so many wines and meads that we lost count. Well WELL worth $5. In fact, I think they are grossly undercharging. The owner was delightful and informative with her presentation, and we ended up leaving with 8 bottles. We could have easily bought much much more. The traditional
Mead, the clove, passion fruit, and the hard cider were just a few of our top picks. Do yourself a favor and take this detour!

Lovely experience

My husband and I ventured into the country to this wonderful winery and meadery. The owners greeted us and made us feel at home. Our wine/mead tasting experience was enjoyable. We enjoyed it so much we brought several bottles home. This was our first visit, but it will not be our last.

Off the beaten path, but so worth it!

A quick search for meaderies in Florida yielded a suggested stop at Royal Manor. As the road wound further and further off the main highway we weren't sure what to expect. We almost turned around--so glad we didn't! Co-owner, Wanda, met us and gave us a generous tasting of their delicious meads and wines. The grapes, honey, and much of the other fruit is grown by Wanda and her husband or locally sourced. The traditional, pomegranate, and blackberry meads are personal favorites. The strawberry and peach wines are also especially good, and I imagine they'd make amazing sangria. There is a $5 fee for the tasting (refunded with bottle purchase), but it is well worth it for all the varieties we tried. After the tasting Wanda took us on a personal tour of the winery and showed us how the process is done. It's a little over two hours from home for us, but we will definitely be back!

Nice Family Run Business
Jun 2018 • Friends
I have been visiting this winery for years. It is a locally run/family business and they do produce delicious wines from muscadine grapes. However, they now charge for tastings (the $5 does go towards a bottle if you buy one) and their hours have changed to make it almost impossible to just stop in as I used to prefer to do. They have also been known to close on holidays, which is also inconvenient for some customers.

A little out of the way, off the beaten path, but signs and directions are great. Excellent choice of wines and meads to sample. very friendly owners. Took the time to invite us back to the winery to sample a chocolate/nobility wine that they had not yet bottled.
poured and bottled right from the vat. Would recommend to any wine lover (especially sweeter wines

What an amazing find.

Even though I am not a wine drinker, the friends that came with me are. They were impressed by the wine and the establishment. This place is way out in the woods, but easy to get to, lots of signs. Beautiful well kept vineyard and the shop was adorable, friendly service and a beautiful selection. Tables and chairs outdoors to sit and sip and visit. Pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

It's a little off the beaten path, but it was a pleasant surprise. We stopped on our way to St Augustine from Crystal River. Wines were good, and they had more of a variety than I expected. Mead was really good too! Girl was pleasant.
