Withlacoochee Bay Trail
Mar 2017 • Couples
This item is mislabeled in TripAdvisor: What is of interest is the Withlacoochee Bay Trail, which begins about the trailhead listed, and runs SE to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Nicely built trail, with numerous fancy pavilions offering shade for fishermen. The trail was clean of debris the day we rode it, so someone is blowing it regularly, but there are signs of neglect, mostly encroaching weeds along the margins.

Awesome bike trail!
Jan 2017 • Couples
Beautiful bike trail with multiple picnic shelters/viewing areas along the route to stop & enjoy the scenery. Go to the left from the Felburn parking area for the 5 miles to the gulf which ends in the most scenic view of all! Going to the right from parking area is just a little over a mile ride that is hilly but also passes a fresh water lake where there are alligators, we saw just 1 today. As was mentioned, can be difficult to find the trailhead parking even with the address in the GPS due to the poor signage. However, there is an RV resort, Nature Coast Landings RV Resort, that is just south of the park that can be seen from the highway. If you head down the side rode that runs parallel to Hwy 19 toward the RV park, then continue past it following the road all the way to the end you'll get to the large parking area complete with restroom facilities. Definitely want to return before we leave as its one of the best trails we've found!

Great Sunset Spot
May 2016 • Couples
Had a really nice sunset experience here. Took selfies, walked the dog, spoke to a few other folks, just generally enjoyed the scene.

Well-maintained, Poorly Marked
Apr 2016 • Couples
These are well-designed and construct bike/hiking trails that are nicely maintained by the state of Florida. The only negative is that the entrances are poorly signed and marked, so you might have trouble finding the right access point.

Nice ride
Feb 2016 • Couples
Very nice, paved 5 mile (10 round trip) ride. Lots to see and the view at gulf is beautiful. Lots of riders on the trail so it must be a popular spot to bike and walk. Plenty of spots to stop and watch the wildlife. This was our first time riding this trail but have plans to do it again.

Withlachochee Bay Trail Is Really Nice
Feb 2015 • Couples
This trail is perfect. It is a paved surface with many beautiful views of the old barge canal, the gorgeous plants and trees and many birds. We spotted an eagle and a osprey nest. There are covered pavilions along the trail for fishing and picnicking. We rode our bikes but there were others walking. I only wish it was a longer ride!

Great Ride!
Mar 2012 • Friends
It was a wonderful day for a ride. We rode our road bikes from the very beginning out to the gulf. Stopped for a short discussion at the picnic table that over looks the water. There was a gentle breeze coming on shore and the birds were very active. There are other picnic tables along the canal if you want to stop. It's a 5 mile trip one way for us. There are other entrances to the trail or you can drive all the way to the end if you. A nice place to take your family for a ride or a picnic. Restrooms and water fountain at the trailhead only.
