This is what I’m looking for in a boutique style surf shop as a non surfer. Cute shop with a big selection. There are bigger shops in the area but the service here is no pressure no problem. Prices are great considering you are getting mid-high end gear. They also know the area to make recommendations if they do t have what you need. Highly recommend.

We rented bikes for 2 hrs. $10 is cheap. Nice bikes, nice store with good prices. Sales person very helpful and friendly. Ride bikes on the beach 🌊

Super nice staff! We forgot a pair of board shorts that we bought here and we would not quite make it there before closing. They waited for us to arrive so we could pick them up!

This has been a favorite shop for four years until today. My mom and I visited in October and purchased jewelry, sunblock, bags and clothing.I special ordered a ring and was told that I would be called when it arrived. I called to follow up and also explained that one of the four rings purchased had bent out of shape immediately upon returning to the hotel. I was told that I could bring it back when I came to pick up the special order. Three months later and no call re: the special order I brought my sister, nieces and nephew to shop and the ring I ordered was in the case. The self identified manager said that it had arrived recently and had no record of my order or follow up. I showed her the other bent ring and she showed me the new version, obviously better made but refused to replace the fragile one I bought. She would not give me information about the jewelry maker and both she and the kid working with her questioned my honestly in regard to the damaged product. A very poor move in their part as we were coming to buy souvenirs for the children. I’m disappointed to have met such kind people in this shop over the years and to see such poor leadership and such gross customer disrespect.

Purchased a pair of sandals last week and the sandals were super uncomfortable. I contacted the manufacturer first and they said to contact the place I bought it from. I was told they will not take them back.
When I said how we supposed to know if they’re comfortable or not or if they’re going to hurt your feet without wearing them, the manager I spoke to said “ that’s the risk of life”.
I manage vacation rentals in the area and can not or will not recommend this place anymore.

My family and I were recently vacationing in the area and also visiting family in the area, when we spotted the surf shop and restaurant attached on the side! We decided to have a bite to eat and then head over to the surf shop! As we are eating outside I saw a young blonde girl come out and go behind our car. She proceeded to write our listened plate number down, I then confronted her and she said my boss told me to do that for anyone parked on this side of the building, it’s just a warning. I said wow I guess your boss doesn’t want any business. It was extremely rude and a rookie mistake to assume we weren’t going to shop there! Our family’s from the area and they will never go back, on top of losing 4 customers right on the spot! As someone in the customer service industry it is very bad for business to be doing things like that which could be illegal to do to begin with.

I want to sincerely apologize for offending you and your family. I hope you can understand that parking has been an ongoing issue at the property that has cost us business to bar patrons. Of the 18 spots on the property we only have 4, making parking very limited, especially during lunch and dinner time. We are trying to handle this as best we can and in a friendly manner. It is by no means our intention to punish or threaten people for parking in our spaces. Again, I apologize for any trouble and I hope that you come back by so that we can make it up to you. From one local to another, please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any issues going forward.

My boyfriend and I stopped by to check out the shop. They had really cool products like the new corkcicle bottles and sun bum haircare stuff. We saw they had rentals and the prices were really good and you can do hourly daily or weekly rentals. The boards looked nice and new too. My boyfriend is a big surfer and he was impressed by their gear. Cool, nice staff with cute shop doggies!! Will be visiting again when in the area.

We rented kayaks and everyone was so nice, accomodating, helpful and very friendly. Rental rates were very reasonable and we took the kayaks down 15th Avenue to the intercoastal...great time....peaceful, quiet and close to our rental. Thanks everyone at Nekton!

Stopped in during my beach vacation on the West Coast. Rented paddle boards and even got a few tips and pointers before our water adventure! Let’s just say I need a bit more practice😄I couldn’t leave without grabbing two of their custom Nekton t-shirts for me and my boyfriend! Friendly/over the top staff and awesome stuff inside. Definitely coming back next time I am over here. Thanks for an awesome experience!!!!

Loved this place! Affordable and Alice is super nice and helpful!! I was actually looking for another place and stopped here instead. We rented 2 paddleboards and we had the best time! Alice was awesome! She helped strap the boards into our SUV so we wouldn't lose them on the drive back to our place. Thank you and look forward to visiting your place again!
