Love nights a bunch of our friends get together and head over to Watson's. Gil and his wife are super nice. Bring your own drinks.. and really learn how to paint 3D art. Gil is a very talented artist and walks you through painting, focusing on light and darkness. It is a awesome class to take. We have been about 5 times so far. …

I LOVE taking classes here!! Get some friends together, book a class.. bring your own wine, beer or beverage of choice.. and be amazed at what you didn't know you could do. Gil will teach you how to paint 3D pieces, using light and shadowing in your work. Not only will you leave with a great piece, but it is so much fun, and you have all your friends with you. I can't wait for our next class!! We have taken 4 or 5 already.. what a neat night out, close to home.…

Art Galleries and Studios just don't get any better than this one. The owners, Gil and Wendy Watson along with their 3 children are a delightful family who make you feel right at home. Gil is master of many genres including an incredible gift for making an ordinary piece of wood come to life. His custom bars, statutes, tables, cabinets and other wood-carved items are all extraordinary masterpieces. Another facet of this studio is the exciting, fun and unique classes. Similar to a paint & wine class, but with a 3-dimensional art piece molded from an original Gil Watson sculptured signature piece. (watsons3d.com) Last, but definitely not least, is the Watson's sense of community. Gil and Wendy have contributed their time and talent to many worthy local causes such as the Homosassa Learning Center, Homosassa Civic Club, and the Old Homosassa Heritage Council. I highly recommend a visit to Watson's Art Gallery & Studio whether it be to browse the many pieces of work displayed, commission an original piece, take a 3D art class, or to purchase a piece of art as a gift or for yourself that will be forever treasured.…

A couple fair local artist's work displayed for sale but mostly "arts and crafts" level kinda stuff. Priced right for that quickie gift item. Proprietor's a quirky little bloke whom appears to have many irons in the fire.

We had trouble finding this place because the sign - although large - is in the middle of two other signs and not very visible. Glad we went inside because there's so much to see, admire and wonder about. Owners are charming and even gave me tips on the best places to fish in and near Homosassa. Always something different to see. Good for all ages and great on Art Walk Night in March.…
