Once again, Captain Gavet of Back For More took us to the hot spots to land enough fish that we had to give up catching because the cooler was FULL. We spent just a half day but that was all we needed. Landed a number of Spanish Mackerel and Yellow Jacks, Barracuda, and finally a 35LB Cobia. Great day on the water thanks to the Capt. If you are looking for a Capt. who knows the fish and the hot spots, Gavet is the MAN!!! Hit up Back For More. You will be glad you did.

-Superb fisherman ....always puts me on the fish ( tarpon, snook, shark, grouper...we haven't caught a whale yet !!!!) -Excellent teacher and gentleman ( superb conversation for the boys or for family outings) -Not a better way to enjoy getting "blood on the boat" and having a superb afternoon

It has been my pleasure to fish with Captain Gavet on several occasions whilst on vacation in sunny isles. Not only does he have an exceptional knowledge of the inlets, bay and areas off shore, he’s an absolute pleasure to be with. He offers advice, guidance and explanations about how and why we are fishing in a particular way (invaluable if like me you are from England and this is something totally different from how you normally fish ) Gavet is patient, reassuring and encouraging. He’s put me on personal bests for Tarpon, Sailfish and Snook and given me some of my best fishing memories . I’ve fished with a number of Lauderdale and Miami based captains, but he is by far the best and why I’ve fished with him multiple times

We fish all over the world and have fished now with 40 captains Gavet is the real deal, straight shooter, no bull, total integrity and seriously knows his stuff. Importantly you know your family is in trusted hands First day was good, 2nd day excellent, 3rd day was sheer crazy with approx 15/16 tarpon hits. State of the art equipment on a very smart boat and backed up with real intuition I achieved my aim of a mid range tarpon 60/80/lb and what I always wanted was a baby tarpon caught by the harbour On the 2nd day tarpon action was super hot, but we had to move area as a rather large bull shark tried to eat 2 of them, and it was a little like food on a rope and we could not risk that, thankfully both tarpon managed to escape the shark once helped by cpt gavet. What I admired about gavet was brilliant communications and his honesty, when i first enquired about tarpon at Christmas he was cautious and said point blank, it will be hit or miss and no hustle. Ie 50/50. I decided to take the risk and thankfully they had indeed moved in, and in good numbers and size. The fishing is also superb out of the bay as well , so worth a pop even if no tarpon around. Now for anybody wanting lobster go try Ricky's sportsbar in Hollywood. Far better than the fine eaters at double and treble the price, another tip from gavet. Also get the taxi to drop you at marina south when meeting gavet. Cut gav, we will be back, we salute you, see you again.
