I have taken part in classes in Fort Worth and wanted to try Hollywood Hot Glass during my stay. I had a great time and because I have had classes prior, I was able to participate more in the actual creation of my pieces. My instructor was the new guy on staff and he was a delight to work with.

This is not a cheap activity but well worth doing as instruction was great and being able to make something for yourself was amazing. It is very hands on. You choose what you are going to make, the colours and then set about making it. You then can take it home but only after 24 hours as the glass has to cool so would suggest that if visiting the area this is an activity you should do at the start of your visit.

We purchased on Groupon, and from the minute we walked in the door, we were treated as valued customers. We had such a good time making Christmas ornaments. We were assisted by Jessica who showed us everything, and made the experience amazing. We are going back!

The staff member who instructed me on how to make my bubble bowl (Manny) was very nice and helpful and the actual experience of making it was very pleasant. The new employee we spoke to upon our arrival was also extremely nice and tried very hard to be helpful going above and beyond. That is until the assistant manager indicated that her employee apparently did not have the right to perform a personal act of kindness. The Assistant Manager (Alison) did not care to even listen to our very particular problem, made no attempt to actually help, and merely repeated “the rules” over and over again. She was unpleasant, inflexible and tainted an otherwise enjoyable experience.

My daughter had brought to Hollywood Hot Glass for my birthday gift….and what a beautiful gift it was! We worked together with our fantastic, knowledgeable and creative instructor Allison. The environment was wonderful and exciting and everyone working there was so nice and helpful. I think anyone who can get there will have a great time. I love the vase I now have, and I look forward to returning there with friends and family to make more pieces.

The best cruise activity that I have ever done.
I was on the Celebrity Eclipse and did the Hit Glass Class with Lou. He was a great teacher. He explained everything as we went along. Plus he didn’t let my disability prevent me from doing the class. Definitely a bucket list activity for me!

My husband and I were looking for ways to kill time between our cruise departure and our flight back home to Texas. We called and made a reservation for that Saturday (strongly advise you do if you do not want to wait) and were the first to start! We like finding unique souvenirs from our trips and we consider this a perfect fit!! We chose to make the ruffled bowl and tumbler drinking glass. They came out great! They involve you in as much of the process as they can, but remember you are dealing with 2000 degree glass, so they also have to be cautious. You get to blow into the glass with the metal piping, help shape what you are making, cut the glass, spin it, etc. The more difficult the piece, the more involved you are able to get. My ruffled bowl was more intricate of a process as opposed to my husband's tumbler. Both pieces were made within an hours timeframe. We had our items shipped back home to us since we wouldn't be there the next day to pick them up after cooling. We received them yesterday and they were very well padded and in perfect condition. My only complaint was that I chose more translucent colors, so only one of the three colors really show up unless you hold it to the light. My husband chose two solid colors and one translucent and they was a much better outcome! Overall, this would be a totally fun date idea, craft event with the ladies, or we even saw a group of girl scouts doing a project there! Check them out!

Cool place to hang out during the food truck event on Monday night's. Usually get dessert and then watch the live demonstration. Also made a pumpkin. It was definitely an awesome and unique experience. Have gone back so many times.

It’s true: you will likely make a piece of glass art that is the envy of friends and family. Nobody will believe it. Also true is the fact that you’re not doing it totally alone; of course the glass artist instructors are there to keep your piece from careening off the rails (which could happen quickly if you don’t know what you’re doing and well, we DON’T know what we’re doing when we first arrive.) Their expertise makes the experience so rewarding (and also instructional) and if you return for subsequent sessions, you’ll find that they’ll let you take the reins more and more. My impression is that they’re trained to find a way to say “yes.” If anyone is overheard saying “no,” then it’s likely due to legit safety concerns- it is molten glass, after all.
We had Allison as an instructor on several occasions and she always found a way to pull in our ideas and find a path to success. We can’t say enough about the passion ignited by our (several) experiences here under her tutelage … can’t stop; won’t stop!
