About
Spanning between Dania Beach and Golden Beach, this strip is quieter and often more pocket friendly than the neighboring Miami Beach. Let the locals skate and cycle past as you stroll along the boardwalk promenade in search of that perfect spot to bask in the Florida sun. Vendors will set you up with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas, but the soft white sand will do just fine for many.
Take a dip in the crystal clear waters, then hit one of the waterfront establishments for a meal and live music. The weather is the most pleasant between December and April, while summer is hurricane season.

- DenBmur19 contributionsA great day out with loads to see and doWe spent a couple of days at Hollywood Beach - good parking $24 for the whole day, on the beach head to the Boucher Brothers area for a cabana package $40 for cabana and two loungers and if you are there between Monday and Thursday, ask for George who will get you settled and update you on where to go etc. We spent two separate days there, make sure you go to George's mart by the rest rooms for massive ice creams, great value at $2.49 a pot, also fresh coffee for £2.15. For dinner I would recommend a stroll along the boulevardup to Margaritaville and the Landshark Bar and Grill, a great place to dine overlooking the beach. The dips and chips are great and refillable and the perfect margartias are actually perfect. EnjoyVisited March 2020Written March 6, 2020
- Melanie P20 contributionsGreat beach in Miami area with out the crowdsWe loved Hollywood Beach! It was raining/drizzling when we went, but we still enjoyed it. I highly recommend visiting if you prefer a pretty beach that is more low-key and less crowded than South Beach and some of the other southern beaches. There is a broadwalk adjacent with lots of shops for an easy bite to eat or just to walk along and enjoy the beautiful scenery. West Lake Park and the Anne Kolb Nature Center are a short drive from here. We went there after and it was a neat contrast. At West Lake you can rent kayaks and kayak through mangrove “trails” it was beautiful with lots of wildlife such as birds and crabs.Visited February 2020Traveled with friendsWritten March 4, 2020
- KimmyGFort Smith, Arkansas1,482 contributionsGreat morningWe ventured out at 7:30 a.m. for a little beach time. We knew that social distancing should provide for a quieter beach. It was also a weekday and we planned our visit for low tide. We accessed Hollywood Beach just east of Billy Stone crabs on Taylor Street. We had the beach practically to ourselves. There was no seaweed and virtually no wave. We wore our masks going to the beach and noticed those people moving around us were also wearing masks. Yes there was some plastic debris here and there in the sand but by far it was clean. When we left at 10:30 a.m. a slow trickle of people had begun to arrive. One last nite, there's a shower to rinse sand on the boardwalk.Visited July 2020Traveled with familyWritten July 12, 2020

I have lived and worked in Hollywood for 50 years and have watched the diamond of s Florida turn to a place I would never visit. In the last 20 years the beach has gone from a enjoyable place to go swimming and walking to a place where parking if you can find a spot cost $1 for 14 minutes. If you are unfortunate and run out of time your car gets towed and now you are stuck at the beach and this is just a beginning of a bad time getting worse. No life guards on surfer beach, people fishing while you try to enjoy the water without getting snagged by them . Every thing is expensive, If the city could charge for breathing I believe they would. Today is the last time i will ever go to Hollywood beach as a matter of fact The whole of S E Florida from the homeless all over the place to the out of control building and lack of consideration and manners, To the extorted camera traffic light tickets, is a sad situation. There are many nicer places to enjoy the sun and sand not very far away just look at google maps.

After spending 3 days in Miami, we made a day trip to Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale.
Drive to Hollywood takes less than an hour and we found a fair price parking when entering just 5 min from the beach. I will give here my comparison with South beach.
Miami Beach South Beach is nice, but mostly famous for the Ocean Dr with its Art Deco heritage. The beach itself is vast and very wide, which I don't like and with not so many trees shade.
Hollywood Beach is more familiar to me, as it's just like European beaches I'm used to. It's not that wide meaning you don't have to walk so long to reach it. There are many palms and trees shade and it's less crowded. Beside that the first cafes and restaurants row has more reasonable prices than on South beach.

I can only speak on the Carnow Park location on March 17, 2021. Derrick was the most professional and courteous service worker that we’ve encountered while here in Hollywood Beach, Fl. The chairs and umbrella were of high quality and in great condition and the personnel are awesome. Thank you Derrick and the Boucher Brothers for making my family’s beach time of the greatest experience. We highly recommend utilizing their service while soaking in the Florida sun!

Rental attendants, particularly Theo, were awesome. Cabana prices are a bit high, but still worth it. Staff will let early risers pick their seat before opening as a courtesy, which we appreciated. We seated directly behind the Marriott hotel - their restaurant Latitude has a great food and drinks which you can easily carry to the beach. We will definitely be back to utilize the beach chairs and umbrellas.

The service was great especially Daniel who took care uf us, great kid. Very helpful going to look for him every time I come to this beach. Seriously recommend their service instead of having to haul chairs and umbrellas going to rent from these guys everytime price is really good.

The umbrella really came in handy, it provided the right amount of shade for the extra sunny day. Christian was extremely helpful. He helped us carry our belongings to the area we were seated in and he came around to ensure we had everything we needed. I would totally recommend them, especially for families that have tons of stuff to setup for their group.

We love Hollywood beach and we come every year to visit our daughter, but the only downfall for us is the washrooms the ladies are always so dirty and last time Wednesday 4th January 2023 there were two needles and bottle caps on the sink in the handicap stall.
I find this very alarming as there is a baby change station in there that could possibly have drug residue on it. Please you get thousands of visitors all year can you not pay to have regular cleaning at least twice a day.

The beach was closed over the 4th due to corona-19, and its not crowed this week. The Canadians are afraid to come down because of the large virus spike. What few people that are out are middle aged locals. Even during a pandemic their are sights to see, the most distinct feature is its Boardwalk, it is 2.5 miles long, has restaurants (social distancing, masks), no one from cruise ships, no Canadians. The Bike Shack, Parasail and amenities are open. I had a Margarita.

We have had a wonderful experience with Boucher Brothers. Everyone was very helpful and worked quick! Clifton and Darvin had been attending to all guests, situating their set ups in the morning and breaking down in the evening stacking those chairs and umbrellas. Our party required 6 chairs and 3 umbrellas and they were polite and set us up in a great spot so we could enjoy the day together!

We spent the day at the beach and wondering the board walk - only did a portion as it is very long. Prices are tourist level so a little pricey but expect that a vacation-type location. We were near the racquet ball court, community building (nice bathrooms) and shelter that had musicians playing most of the day.
Board walk has a large bike path next to the area for walkers so plenty of room for all.

Bonjour à tous
Nous aimerions savoir si il est vrai , qu’une portion de la plage Hollywood Beach est réservée au naturiste?
Merci

Not legally that I know of, but there are several in Florida that are. Just a few miles south to Bal Harbor there is one.

Why are Doubletree and Marriott rated so low on here?

How to answer this? Maybe poor customer service, rooms not cleaned well, lacking amenities? There could be many reasons.
My own experience is that that are seemingly cutting corners to increase or maintain profit margins. It also seems that staff are not happy doing their jobs, maybe lacking adequate pay or benefits. I see a lot of services have been cut or reduced and using the epidemic as an excuse.
Hola si voy a la playa en Holywood y poseo handicap como funciona este en esas playas y donde puedo estacionar. Se se hace la pago?
