Rent a kayak, take a hike, have a picnic, climb to the top of the observation tower. Nice views of the intracoastal & the ocean from the top of the tower. Clean bathrooms, lots of parking.

Compared to many S. Florida nature areas it is average. It is very clean with 2 short trails and a boatdock, reception hall and a little education center. The problem is that there really isn't much to see other than mangroves, small crabs and in...More

Nice boardwalk trails among the mangroves. You can see lots of crabs, some fish and birds. The nature center building does have some exhibits but are limited on number.

We enjoyed our morning walking in the center. We saw quite a few wildlife while we were there. The path was well maintained and safe to walk out to the observation deck. The only downside is the path is not shaded. It's kind of hot...More

The museum is very nicely displayed and the boardwalks are in good shape for a walk through the mangroves. Take the short boat ride (tickets ~ $5) for a narrated journey through the waterways.
