I have been walking here for years. Always something new to see. If you haven't been there in a while, all the floor boards have been replaced and the historical and nature information boards have been refurbished. One regret is that the trail is not longer

Peck Lake Park is a pretty, quiet, little park just off Gomez Avenue in Hobe Sound. It is kind of a well kept secret. Adequate parking. Not crowded very often, even in season. A great place for just hanging out or to bring a picnic lunch. Great for couple, seniors and young families. It has been a regular stopping off... More

Peck Lake trail is a great little hike that isn't long but the views at the end are awesome. The trail is very well marked and mostly wood decking through the Mangroves that ends right on the Intra-Coastal. One of Hobe Sound's hidden little gems. A great place to take visitors on a Sunday afternoon.

Even though it's not that long it's a great walking trail on a boardwalk. The end result is the interglacial waterway with boats and kayakers.

Local park with picnic benches, grills, and covered tikis upon entering the park. Then you drive to the back left corner and there is the pathway to the Intra-Coastal Waterway. You can bring your lunch or fishing gear to the end of the path (about a mile or 10 minute walk) and find a nice, large covered area with picnic... More

relatively short (5-10) minutes walk to the intracoastal waterway on a boardwalk over natural vegetation .Educational information available on the way. Picnic benches and gazebo when you get there. We have seen manatees, otters, ospreys, dolphins and all sorts of fish jumping right out of the water!

This is located 8 miles south of Stuart on Gomez Ave. Walk is only 2000 ft from the intercostal waterway. I love the boardwalks over the marsh. There are wonderful signs explaining the difference in the ferns and mangroves. Rod Holders for the fisherman are along the dock. There are two nice tables to eat your picnic lunch. It was... More

Great pavilion on the Indian River. Ample parking. Short hike to the water. Good story board. Plenty of photo ops.

This is a recently done boardwalk walking path through the mangroves to Pecks Lake. It lasts about 15 minutes each way. There is a nice dock side and pavilion at the end of the hike. Fishing seems to be very good there. We watched a fisherman pull in 3 fish withing 15 minutes. The walkway offers information signs scattered along... More
