Lovely and not crowded
Jun 2021
The beaches were very clean and the water looked so pretty. Reminded us of the water in the Bahamas.

Lovely place for any time of day!
Aug 2020
Hobe Sound Beach is a great place to go, it has a lovely view of the sunrise and permits dogs (take them early in the morning so they don't burn their feet). The lifeguards are always on alert and set out flags to tell you what the water is like (dangerous marine life, mild, rough, perfect, etc.) The beach is very clean, and has great photo ops!

Beautiful small beach
Jun 2020
This beach is wonderfully clean. There are lifeguards during the day, until around 4 p.m. The restrooms are relatively new and pretty clean. The parking is free, though the lot can fill up. There are no concessions or anything nearby. It's surrounded by residential area. Bring your food, water, sunscreen, etc. The views of the Atlantic are lovely. Great place to spend a day.

Great beach.

Waves can be a bit tricky and sand is a bit "sticky" when you're read to leave, but this is a great beach. Showers and lifeguards are on hand. Fishing areas next to the swimming zones. You can walk for miles and miles. The drive over the bridge and down Bridge Rd is great. (Pro tip, if the parking lot is full (it's not very big) turn right on Beach Rd (North) and go to the Wildlife refuge beach. No bathrooms there, but plenty of parking and also a great beach area.)

Nature lover's heaven with turquise waters
May 2019
This beach is a nature lover's heaven, with baby turtles, crabs, sand piper, and fish sightings daily in beautiful Caribbean waters and most interesting black and white sand not seen on any other beaches I've visited along this coast! If you want to take the dog or grandkids for a stroll and not have to fight crowds-this is the beach for you!

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY IN HOBE SOUND OR NEARBY
Jul 2019
Buying a vacation home in Hobe Sound is one of the stupidest things we ever did. It is the nastiest part of Florida that we have ever encountered. And if you are disabled or elderly, forget you ever heard about this place. The realtors, and the real estate lawyers, and the police treat you like garbage. It's like the old days of the Klan there. A lot of the real estate offices are "all white" and black people are treated very poorly, even in public. The realtors and real estate attorneys are astonishingly predatory and abusive, especially if you are disabled or elderly. They treat you like a piece of meat to be carved up. And the police are in on it with them, because they see the realtors as a key part of their "gravy train". A nasty, nasty area.

Nice

Enjoyed the beach. Lifeguard on duty and free parking. On 2nd visit, I noticed bathrooms are closed and fenced off. Portable toilets on premises. Don't know when work will be finished. Drive on bridges road is gorgeous...just love the banyan trees.
