I strongly recommend avoiding this attraction. When we visited, it was fairly overgrown and very dirty with trash and dead worms. The mosquitos are everywhere. The 10 minutes we spent there was not good. However, the local parks people are developing more trails in the...More

The park is small...but well worth the visit. The hike is lovely along the lake edge with incredible views. If you love nature, wildflowers, birdwatching you will enjoy this nature park.

Stopped while in area , 16 acre park along waterfront. Small path to point with trash cans and signage. Benches to sit at to watch wildlife. Dog friendly, pick up dog business and don’t litter.

Palm Point is a small natural area park on the Gainesville side of Newnan's Lake (as opposed to the Windsor side). It doesn't have much going on. If you're an avid nature lover you'll still enjoy it immensely. There are a lot of plants to...More

We planned to go to Botanical Gardens but they were closed (Thursday) so we selected this park instead. The lake is pretty but not that clean - no swimming. The park is nothing exciting-wide sandy/dirt trail that leads to lake. Benches in disrepair. It was...More

I grew up on this side of the lake. It's great to go clear your mind. Meditate, yoga. What eery our flavor.

This tiny park has a bench and a place to park. There is a nice view of the lake, but on the wrong side for sunset. The lake is not suitable for swimming. I've seen a few fishermen but no catch. If you just want...More

Remote, beautiful trail to sit on Newmans Lake. You can see Eagles at times and sometimes even the Gainesville area rowing. Very peaceful and quiet.

Very nice short walk on well maintained trail next to a shore. We saw lots of hawks. The view across the water is very pretty. Some benches to sit on encourages enjoying the view. Probably a nice spot to watch the sun rise.
