Founded in 2008, upon the foundation of our great state, we raised our roof to brew world-class beers and establish ourselves as Florida’s brewery. Having travelled through lands far and close, and finding inspiration along the way, we are proud to...more

I was first introduced to Swamp Head during a beer trade several years back and was pleased to find they were close by on a recent trip to Gainesville. The brewery is large, spacious, and well decorated... giving you the feeling of being in a...More
Swamp Head is definitely off the beaten path, which allows it to have a peaceful pond view. Their beers are made on site and change often; they also offer a very nice cider, which this non-beer-drinker appreciated. Their dog-friendly policy is fantastic as well, really...More

We went here to sample some of their beer and were not disappointed! Good selection, also of cans and bottles to bring home. The food truck outside was nice as well. Only drawback was the location far from the city.

any good brewpubs in Gainesville? (2 Replies)
Does the new Swamp Head Brewery have a brewpub open to the public? If not, who has the best microbrew beers on tap?

There were 2 "brewpubs" if, by that, you mean places that brew their own beer on-site - Hops and Market Street pub. Both are now closed. Stubbies & Steins downtown has a good selection of beers from around the world including some craft beers. I'm not familiar with the Swamp Head Brewery, though I am vaguely aware there is such a thing over on the other side of I-75.
