It was a cute exhibit

I've been going since I was a little girl. It's a very fun and well developed place to take the kids in a cheaply manner.

Truly an amazing museum. I know it's not as large as some in bigger cities, but they do such a great job of truly making this an awesome place to just walk through! I honestly love going here. Most all of their regular exhibits are free as are some visiting exhibits. The temporary exhibits that costs money to see are... More

The museum is awesome. Free to get in. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Butterfly garden is extra but well worth the extra money!

Mrs Too and Ben are in our later seventies. Well educated, well traveled, omnivorous readers, we fancy ourselves fairly well versed in our environs, yet this little building took us down a peg or two. Part of the University of Florida, the museum is not just a fascinating attraction for all ages, but the showcase of a large and internationally... More

By itself, this is an interesting but small exhibit. It is no cost and it does a good job showing the nature of this area of FL. By itself, though it fell just a little flat for me. However, there was a temporary First Colony exhibit at an additional small fee as well as the Butterfly rainforest in the same... More

This is a free museum located in an uncongested area in Gainesville, FL. The museum is well organized, very clean, and has plenty of really exciting exhibits for the whole family. Plan to spend a lot of time there, especially if there is a special event going on. We particularly enjoy the Antique Toys exhibit which comes through each year.... More

I visited this museum on a weekend and found it very enjoyable. Parking is free on the weekend, and usually there is charge (because it is located on a university campus). I was pretty impressed overall. Very well produced, have cool fossils and a great exhibit on the native peoples of southwest florida. I would highly recommend a visit to... More
