We have been to the Gardens several times. There is always something new to see and it is always beautiful. I especially love the bamboo garden and the Wedding Oak. We actually loved the gardens so much we got married there. Beautiful, perfect location!

Very nice gardens! Nature lovers will love it. Leave most children home though because they will be bored. You need to love looking at plants, trees, vines, and Flowers. Birds were chirping, butterflies flitting around. The temp was 90+, so it wasn't very crowded. The...More

My travel companion is the garden fan. I go to gardens to keep her company. That said, I enjoyed this this garden. A simple layout with 2 different loops you can follow. We followed about 3/4 of the longer loop. I really liked the herb/medicinal...More

Upon arrival, the first thing in the building is the gift shop, but there is no staff person in the shop. The staff person sits across the entrance on the other side to take admission. I paid my $8.00 and was given a map. FLOWERS:...More

We brought the grandkids to enjoy an authentic slice of Florida. The gardens are well-maintained and luxuriously planted. Be aware that there are alligators, esopecially in and near the lake. The person at the entry booth alerted us to the location of the momma gator...More

Our visit to this garden was a bit of a disappointment. I was surprised at the poor condition of many of the planting areas. It was easy to see that they were understaffed. Many of the beds were in poor condition. Many trees and plants...More

The botanical garden has the largest collection of bamboo in the state. The trails are concrete and easy to walk through the different gardens. The property is well maintained and looks like it would ever changing throughout the year.

I would say April is the best time to visit the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. It has been cold and except for azaleas, our flowers are not in bloom.

Yes, on a leash. We take our dog each time we go. We always take a bag in case she poops, and we watch for alligators near the water. It is a great place to walk dogs!
