The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful. We went on Mother's Day 2015 and mom's got a discounted rate. The bamboo garden is amazing and they actually sell bamboo at certain times of the year. You can also rent it as a venue for special events. I loved it!

Take a walk through this botanical garden and you'll come away in awe of the beautiful plants, bamboo, ferns, flowering bushes throughout the property. This is a must see in Gainesville Florida.

great visit, dog friendly, nice shops and probably several miles of trails around the garden. Any time of year is good for a visit. They also have a kids garden

This is one of the most beautiful places in Gainesville! The botanical gardens border the Kanapaha Lake, with a boardwalk out into the water. The gardens are laid out in two big loops of paths, each going through a series of what seems like outdoor rooms. A Bamboo forest, a hummingbird garden, the biggest herb garden in the Southeast, a... I was thete pn 31st 16. Not ideal date but was lucky because weather was wonderful and not much people which is good to take pictures without having always some body interfering. Bamboo are impressives. I recommend a visit definitively.

This is a lovely garden. There are many different sections that showcase a variety of plants. It's so peaceful here. They also have the largest lily pads I've ever seen!

Worth every penny of the $8 entrance fee. Unfortunately came an hour and a half before closing, but could have spent a few hours hanging out and walking around. They all it a garden, but it's more of a park with lots of beautiful plants. Tons of places to have a picnic and let kids run around. The entire loop... More

We spent a wonderful day walking and enjoying the sights. There are several parts of the garden, each different and beautiful.

This garden varies with the seasons. Being Christmas, it is amazing to walk the garden, especially with our perfect weather. I have a membership and it is so worth, being the gardens are about 2 miles from my home. Great medation area by the bamboo and Buddha.

We stopped here on our way through Gainesville. Even though it was December and not much was in bloom, it was beautiful and worth the visit. There are two loops, one on each side of the entrance. We did both sides. We liked the hummingbird garden on the bigger loop and the bigger waterfall on the second loop. The giant... More
