This garden varies with the seasons. Being Christmas, it is amazing to walk the garden, especially with our perfect weather. I have a membership and it is so worth, being the gardens are about 2 miles from my home. Great medation area by the bamboo and Buddha.

We stopped here on our way through Gainesville. Even though it was December and not much was in bloom, it was beautiful and worth the visit. There are two loops, one on each side of the entrance. We did both sides. We liked the hummingbird garden on the bigger loop and the bigger waterfall on the second loop. The giant... More

This was our first visit to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in the fall. It was a pleasant visit even though there was a threat of rain which made us hurry. The stands of bamboo were as impressive as usual but on this visit our favorite was the giant lily pads. They were very impressive. The big ones are off the main... More

surprised by this hidden gem near downtown Gainesville. Really enjoyed our time checking out the bamboo and other collections. Saw a lot more wildlife than expected in the gardens.

This is an excellent place to spend two to three hours strolling amongst plants and trees. It's well laid out and you are given a useful guide. Plenty of shade available. It's well established and seems a popular spot for weddings.

My nephew and his amazing wife had their wedding at Kanapaha Gardens this weekend, and it was sensational! The ground are gorgeous, and there is so much to see. The staff are helpful and very friendly, and the entire venue is just lovely. Even if you aren't going there for an event, you will love seeing all the plants, communing... More

We stopped here on our way to GA, I am so glad we did! The gardens are beautiful, there are two different trails, one is a mile and hop the other one is half a mile. We took the shorter one first, it was such as easy walk, we stayed and did the longer one too. Both are paved and... More

Gardens were varied and interesting. I especially enjoyed the bamboo collection. Some areas have very little relief from sun, and there are biting bugs aplenty--I didn't plan for this and almost left early from discomfort. I would like to visit in a cooler season, and also to see how the garden changes throughout the year.
