Wanted to visit a Florida beach on Emerald Coast and Fort Walton beach was a nice surprise. The sand was incredible, so soft and so white, and the ocean perfect for swimming. Enjoyed watching dolphins and taking long walks along the shore. Would have stayed...More

Beautiful white sandy beaches. Looks a bit like snow. We ate in most of the time and did some shopping Nice people there and very patient with visitors trying to find "our way."

This is a must-see for everyone everywhere. If you've never been to the Emerald Coast you don't know what you're missing. One of the most beautiful places on the face of the Earth. We come here at least once or twice a year every year.

We stayed in a condo for over a week. The water was choppy, but calmed down after a few days. The beach was hard to walk on, and the sidewalk and bike paths are only on one side of the road. Not very user friendly....More

Beautiful beaches and sunsets clear water, white sand. Not many shells and a lot of umbrella rentals. Go early to get a spot if your not renting a umbrella. Most days there is not waves, good for paddle boarding.

Ate at several of the restaurants on the boardwalk. Great atmosphere! Watched the sunset from the pier, well worth the $2.00 cost to walk on the pier!

Absolute beauty of a beach, saw more dolphins in the calm water than I have seen in many years of traveling in the area. Beautiful butterflies on the island as well, very sweet place to vacation!

If you want to enjoy seafood I would highly suggest The Black Pearl, The Crab Trap and Floyds Shrimp House. We were seated on a back deck with an ocean view at all three places and the food was amazing! There is a gelato... More

We were there two weeks ago and the water was chilly. But I agree, the kids were okay with it, but very few adults in the water.
