This local history museum is so well orchestrated; we love it. Our grandchildren love to go there when they visit. They offer hands-on exhibits, and there are very knowledgeable people available to help guide everyone through the experience.

We enjoyed seeing the way school used to be taught. The volunteers were great at explaining how a typical school day would have been. You step back in time & it's definitely worth the visit of you're in Destin or FT Walton Beach on vacation.

This a self guided tour and would take you about an hour to see everything there. Burial mound, museum and a few other out buildings which includes the school house. In thought it was very nice and quite interesting.
