Nice Walk

This was a nice pier to walk down. There is a small fee but hey why not. You can fish off of the pier. It was crowded down at the end and the ground was a bit dirty but that was... read more

The Okaloosa island pier has beautiful views of the ocean. During a recent vacation to Fort Walton Beach we had some family pictures taken by the pier. We also watched fireworks shot off from there at our hotel. Also, there is a good restaurant right there called Anglers that I would recommend.

Very nice, long pier with amazing views of the ocean, the coastline and tons of fish and dolphins! We stayed for over an hour watching the Dolphins chase the fish that people were reeling in. Very exciting for us, not so much for the fishermen with the broken lines! Does have a restroom.

I had read reviews about people seeing dolphins from the pier so we made a stop there on our way to Orlando. What do you know, we actually saw several dolphins swimming near the end of the pier and on one side. You do have to be patient and just keep looking, but we definitely got our money's worth as... My stepson enjoys fishing and we took to the pier to fish off of it. He had a wonderful time fishing even though he didn't grab the great big fish he was hoping for. Highly recommend trying once if you get a chance.

Went after brunch at Anglers to check out the activity and it was worth the 2 bucks- saw some caught fish, tons of shore birds and a couple of dolphins near the end of the pier. GREAT spot for people watching as well.

Excellent spot to watch the sunset and enjoy an evening walk. Can be a bit crowded, but it is quite understandable considering how beautiful the view is. Definitely a must do if you are in town visiting. Also the boardwalk is located in the same parking lot, which is a great place to go for kids and adults!

When the water is calm you can see clearly into the water. We were lucky enough to see several fish and a shark!

I've taken many charter boat trips out of Destin in the past, buthave neverpier fished before. Decided togiveit a try this time. I caught a few fish, albeit small baitfish, but hey, whose complaining, it's a fish. The main attractionis people watching. Lots of people, just like me trying their hand at pier fishing. The vast majority, not too successful.... More
