not bad really

I have played there 3 times. The greens are not as big at your larger courses but in excellent shape as are the sand traps. Nice soft white sand. Much better then i have found on your more expensive courses in Martin county. winter rates are not that cheap but less then many. fairways are in pretty good shape. I recommend this course although not the prettiest landscaping around

This is a great course to play in Ft. Pierce

I love playing this course when in the area. Staff is friendly and the course is generally in great shape. This course can challenge you but also has many holes that the average golfer will not be intimidated. Generally busy, so tee times are a must.

Never wet

The course is in good shape, greens are ok, I go there to improve my game But the real reason to go is that it is never wet no matter how much rain!!

This reminds me of an Upper Midwest City course

The staff is friendly. The course is short (I played the blues at about 6200 yards and my wife played the greens at about 5000 yards). The fairways are generous and there is very little trouble except for sand that really does not come into play much for the single-digit to mid teens handicapper. While the greens run true directionally, the pace is up-and-down.

If you’re looking for a challenge, this is not the course. If you’re looking for a friendly round – this is your place.

First time played there, great staff, played there with a buddy today 7/3/18. He had told me he had played there a few years ago when he had lived in the area, I’m glad he did. The fairways and greens were in great shape , much better than most of the courses we have played on in this area. We will be playing this course on a regular basis.

An old golf course to make you feel young
Sep 2017
This is a grand old golf course that will remind many of you of when you were young. Built in 1942 when funds were limited, rather than a "bulldoze" golf course, with artificial breaks and endless monotony, Indian Hills meanders thru ancient sand dunes and has natural drainage to provide a water hazard on several holes. An ancient live oak with spanish moss guards the 12th green, both beautiful and ominous, and is the signature hole for the course. The fairways are good, greens excellent, and the bunkers have some of the best sand (I wonder why?) I've ever found myself in. The local residents are proud of their public course and make visitors feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable. More traffic would help the city of Ft. Pierce to keep this beautiful old Florida golf masterpiece open and you can do your part by just going there and playing it and having fun. I recently carried my grandson and we had a great time. I'll be back!

Great for what it is.

This is a municipal course so I didn't expect excellence. However, the fairways were in good condition. The greens were true and could hold the ball. It had rained hard the night before, so most of the courses I call were path only. No problems at this course. Don't get me wrong, this isn't Pebble Beach or Augusta, or like most of the courses at Myrtle Beach but it wasn't a goat ranch either. The course has a nice layout, but nothing special. It is a short course that can cause problems, but pretty easy to play if you just want a relaxing time. I played with an older couple and had fun. The pace started out very slow, but got going by the back 9. 4hrs total. I would recommend for someone that wants a simple, relaxing 18 for $39 in the afternoon.
