Chose this park sight unseen after scouring Google Maps for a nice picnic location. I drove over an hour away to get there. It has a possibility of being a beautiful Park. Unfortunately I did not live up to that on that day. The roads seriously need attention. There were huge mud puddles everywhere. The grass was not cut and palm fronds laid all over. One of the main reasons I chose this park for the favorable reviews for the bathroom. My experience with the bathroom was that it was disgusting and unusable. The problems with this park were maintenance related. Unfortunately that also goes into having a good time at a location.

What a beautiful park. White City is in St. Lucie county. It was named for the utopian Great White City built by architect Daniel Burnham for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. The park is located off of Midway Rd which is another reference to the fair. The Midway Plaisance was a wide boulevard which formed the mile-long entertainment center of the fair.

The park is part of a string of nature preserves running through southern Ft. Pierce. There is construction going on in front of the park right now making it a little difficult to find the entrance but once you do you are in a nature paradise.

The park is filled with old Florida charm. The most beautiful feature of the park is the large oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss. Park amenities include a playground, restrooms, picnic tables, boat launch, and a pavilion. The park is a popular destination for fishing since the park is bordered by the St. Lucie River. If you choose to launch your water craft from the 2 slip boat ramp you can travel down the St. Lucie River, through the inlet, and out into the Atlantic Ocean. No matter the activity I love the bygone feel of this gorgeous green space.

The park is a great place to fish or picnic and to observe the natural trees and shrubery where many birds live,.

Beautiful park

Absolutely beautiful park. One of the nicest around. I read one review about some unsavory types there. As with any park you must be careful these days. Did not see anyone there on our visit. Has a big sign that it is being watch by the police. I am looking forward to going back again.

I've been to White City Park many times in the past and have always enjoyed it. It is a beautiful park with lots of old oak trees and other natural Florida fauna. It is very family friendly with monkey bars, slide, and swings. There is even a boat ramp available, and it sits on the edge of the St. Lucie River. It is non-motorized vehicle and motorized vehicle friendly.

Don't go

The park looks nice but sometimes there is riff-raff there. So it's not a good place to go.
This park has been cleaned up and is or was patrolled by the police in the past. Note sure if they still do it.

A small but charming park located off Midway road in White City. A nice walking road takes you back in time with people fishing and enjoying life.

Great place to launch boats and kayaks. Nice restrooms. good parking and picnic tables available. Walk along the river bank, you may see Otters, manatees and you will see fish.
