Wow! Where do I start. Never in my 40yrs have I had such a disappointing experience with these people. First, I read reviews all on platforms and I called to secure a place in the Thursday Oct 8th “ all day trip 8am-4pm. I was told by Nicole they hadn’t gone out Monday and all week. But, they would let me know if things changed. I got a call on Wednesday afternoon regarding going. I was told they require 10 anglers for the boat leave the docks. After committing and explaining I live in Palm Beach island that I would be making a 75mile 1.20min trip and this was my first time to leave palm beach county to give fort pierce a go. I also sent Nicole a detailed email questing some of the negative reviews I have read about lack of service and the mates accommodating themself’s fishing and taking care of the locals while stopped to collect live bait and ignoring the first times. Remember this is a “ PARTY BOAT” not a private charter. I addressed this with Nicole in writing and that I was told they had a habit of promising to leave the dock and come to find out after some reviews indicate people have travels 3-8hr to come and fish in Fort Pierce. Come to find out after securing and verifying the night before and even the morning of that once you arrive they cancel the trip. They claim they only have 5 anglers now. $425 pay for the boat. In business everyday isn’t a home run or even a profit. It’s called INTEGRITY! It takes money to make it and without your WORD you have nothing. Additionally, once I arrived I was told we aren’t going and we just got 3/4 cancelled. Knowing I was promised no matter what we were going fishing. Not even a APOLOGY! The five anglers got together and discussed how this was handled and we all agreed we all have never witnessed a business and especially a fishing charter conduct themself’s in such a way. We promised each other to tell and spread the word to all we know and to create a blog so others don’t have to continue ur to treated in such a way.
SHAME ON YOU LADY CHRIS!!
You give the fishing charter industry I terrible reputation.

This was my second trip with the Lady Chris and for both of my experiences the trip and crew were perfect. Where my issue comes in is the price change when you show up. We went on the website and the price clearly started the trip was $50 per person so we called up and booked our trip. However when we showed up the morning of the trip the lady taking the money informed us that the website price was wrong and that the cost was actually $75 per person. This took several other people by surprise who were waiting in line and had booked their trip expecting to pay the $50 not $75.
This is about the principal more than the money. It shows poor business judgment and character. I even went on the website today which is days later and the price still states $50 for the trip we we took. Unfortunately we will not be booking anymore trips with this establishment because we just don’t trust them anymore.

Went out fishing today for the 1st time on this boat and I will never go back.
They had provided a small amount of squid to fish and held back the sardines. They were baiting the passenger next to me with good size sardines and when I had asked the mate, Cole, for a sardine he told me to go catch one. Truly he said that to me in a derogatory tone.
I was totally insulted by this mate and his disrespect for a senior citizen. He spent almost the whole time out on the water lining his own fishing line up with large sardines and could care less if I caught anything.
Extremely disrespectful and I won't be going on them again.

This is my second trip and I plan on many more Captain Cole Mike and Lilly go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience the mates work hard untangle lines and make sure we have bait when needed , unhook the fish and mark the keepers for you.
I have been on several charter boats in the past and rate The Lady Chris 5 stars and the mates as well we caught a load of good keepers and people were friendly and enjoyed their fishing adventure.
As an experienced fish guy I bought my own gear however after 5 minutes my reel malfunctioned ....Damn... but Mike was there to help and provide me with a rig within minutes these guys go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience , I would suggest you ask questions like I do like how big does a certain species get , how deep are we fishing , etc ,to obtain knowledge from these experts that will increase your fun and excitement.

The captain and crew paid all the attention to their regulars and totally ignored the first timers. Caught no fish and had no help to catch fish.
Charter was to end at 4 but captain and crew decided to stop and catch fish by several manta rays . Docking was delayed by an hour.
Missed my dinner party with departing friends.
The captain didn’t have the courtesy to ask if we minded the delay.
Won’t recommend to anyone.

Went with family for the first time on this charter. They did a good job of trying to stay on active fishing spots. When fishing slowed or never got going in the first place, they up'd anchor and moved. A few fish were caught by all, but overall not a very productive trip. This was due to northerly winds for the past 10 days in which the boat was not able to get out. The water was very dirty. We had a good time anyway. This operation had great reviews from the locals, even from my neighbor who has been a commercial fisherman for the past 20 years. The other big operator in the area, anchors and then doesn't move no matter if fish are biting or not according to the locals. These guys tried their best. My Dad and I both were Charter Boat Captains for over 32 years in Wisconsin and know when a Captain and crew are trying their best. Will definitely go with them again. Most of the people on the boat were regulars. By the way, the best spots are on the stern and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Spots are awarded to those showing up first. We all caught fish no matter where we were though.

I read reviews and don't write them. This is perhaps the first one that I've done in about three years. I decided to try the Lady Chris because of these reviews, but did take note that the last couple were a bit critical. So with that in the back of my mind I booked a 1/2 day on the boat for myself and my two adult sons. We are located in Sebring about 1.5 hours West of Ft. Pierce in the middle of the State. Bass fishing is what we do but we wanted to go deep sea fishing as that is what I did when I was a kid, actually right there out of Ft Pierce where I'm from. In any event we made the drive and were not disappointed. We got there and signed in. They boarded the boat based on the number assigned at check in, very fair and you got to pick your spot. On the run out to fishing the deck hand Mike came and checked on us, asked if we needed tackle, ran us through the operation and made sure we were all set to fish. Upon reaching the first spot we got a bucket of bait, cut squid. We baited up and tossed out the hooks. Now I'm not going to say that fish were jumping in the boat, however there was plenty of action and we were pulling in fish both keepers and junk fish of various types. Mike came back round to collect up good fish and ask us if we wanted to use junk fish as bait (which we did in one instance and he cut it up and brought it back to us). The method of keeping track of keepers in the fish box was to make cuts on their heads. Our mark was two cuts. We caught 12 keepers and at the end of the day were given the option of taking them whole or having them filet them right there. We had them clean the fish at the dock and took the fillets home. It was an awesome experience and we had a great time. Capped it with lunch at Cracker Barrel before the ride home. Recommend them without reservation and very much plan on arranging a much larger group of guys from our Church going out there for day. For $45 plus a 20% deck hand tip it was money well spent for day we are not going to forget.

I have been an avid fisherman for over 50 years. I have been on over 15 party boats throughout the U.S., rented many private charters and have fished on my own. I have never fished for Red Snapper and after reading reviews, I went on the Lady Chris Saturday, August 18th. The Red Snapper season was open for 6 days in August. I tried to get some friends or clients to join me on this special Red snapper trip but they were all unavailable on this date. Nonetheless, I drove 3 hours one way by myself because I felt I made the best choice in selecting this captain, crew and boat. I was wrong!
...The GOOD: the boat was relatively clean and the crew was hardworking. If someone needed help, they immediately gave assistance.
...The BAD.. ... The standard bait they use on this trip is squid and sardines. The more experienced anglers bring their own shrimp and crab. (I wish someone would have told me to bring my own premium bait because it is not provided). The largest Red Snapper of the day was caught by an angler using his own shrimp. On the 1st fishing spot of the day we caught some baitfish. (These baitfish will be used later in the day in attempts to catch Red Snapper and other large edible fish). I was NEVER given, NOR offered any baitfish to use. However, I did witness others being given bait fish to use. The captain's neighbor which I met, was given baitfish and a select few others. The captain and one deckhand fished as time allowed. One deckhand fished immediately next to me. He used baitfish and caught the 2nd largest Red Snapper of the day. After he landed this large Red Snapper, I wondered why I was not given any baitfish to use? Why is this deckhand fishing and not giving myself or other customers the baitfish to use? Is it my responsibility to have to ask for the best bait? As we headed back towards shore, I spoke with a couple of other customers and they realized this situation. They were more upset than I was. We decided the only thing we can do is leave small tips for the deckhands. On regular trips I believe they take up to 47 anglers. This special trip had a max capacity of 30. There were young kids constantly changing locations and constantly reeling in their lines (because they do not have patience). These kids caused my line to get tangled many times. I did not say anything, is it my job to be babysitting other people's kids? I could not imagine what it would be like if they had more people fishing, more tangles?
..In conclusion. Ultimately, everything on the ship is the Captains responsibility. I hope they read this and make the necessary adjustments because many people will not leave a review and just leave with a sour taste in their mouths. Soon, I will rent a private charter for regular Snapper but will not use this company and their private charter boat. This was my worst experience on a fishing trip. I would have been better off driving down the freeway and throwing my $75 out the window and not driving 3 hours in the wee hours of the morning.

Went out 8-12-18 with full boat of 40people. Left at 8am returned at4pm only 4fish caught out of 40people. I chose this boat because of the high rating. Only $55.00 but a wast of my time, money, and day.

We went out on the Marathon trip this last Saturday. Every third Saturday they run a 10 hour trip, perfect for people that really want to fish. The Captain worked hard to put us on the fish. We has steady action and plenty of meat to bring home. Mates were very attentive and helpful, very friendly and patient with those who needed additional help. Boat was extremely kid friendly as well. Besides the great fishing, there was a nice breezy indoor cabin to get out of the sun if needed, plenty of area to have a seat, very reasonable prices for soda and beer and the restrooms were VERY clean. Would highly recommend this boat. It is my understanding that they are getting prepared for a cosmetic overhaul in a few months (current condition did not bother me), other than that, a little WD40 on some of the reels would not hurt :) Thanks for a great time! We will definitely be back!

What is the age for seniors and do get to keep a catch if so you choose?
Senior age is 60 and older. Yes you keep your catch and the crew will clean your catch.
