Great beach, especially for dog lovers, when the brown waters of the Caloosahachee River are not draining I to the watershed.

We brought our 5 month puppy there for his first time in the gulf. He had a great time. Some dogs were off leash and other were leashed. I did not witness any aggressive dogs. The water was really warm. I think it is because the beach is in an estuary, so the water is very shallow.

A GREAT beach for dogs who are friendly with other dogs. No leashes necessary. Friendly dog owners are there to chat with while the pups run free and play. Low tide means more sandy beach for dogs to run on. I usually wear flip flops that are water friendly in case there are things I don't want my barefeet to... More

We enjoyed taking our dog to this beach, he enjoyed it a lot, played with other dogs, i recommend to go early in the morning since mid morning it started to get very crowded. We planned to take him here again soon.

I don't have a dog but I like to be around dogs and to take pictures of them. Dog Beach is listed in lots of Things to Do lists and it sounded like fun. Boy was it! I smiled the whole time I was there. It seems to me that dogs have a sense of enjoyment in life's simple pleasures.... More

I have wanted to take my dog here for quite some time. Boy an i sorry I finally did. There were other dogs there, & I expected that. However, one of the dogs defecated right on the beach & it was 'liquid'. No one picked it up. I didnt even know if the dog had an owner. Within seconds of... More

A great beach where you can take your dog and no one cares because they have their dogs there too! Dogs and people seem to be having a wonderful time.

This beach is small and smells icky. very buggy. I am sure this place is very nice for dogs off lead, its just that its like going to the beach in a swamp. Just took him to the regular beach.

Best dog beach I have ever been to. Only issue we had is we came during high tide. so we walked through some knee high water to get to the beach. Don't forget to check the tides before going.
