Drove 2 hours west from Pembroke Pines area to this beach to take my Pug puppy and my 6 yr old Puggle. We went with some friends and packed coolers and beach tents to spend the day since we drove quite a bit to get there. Once we arrived we realized that this area is a tidal flat meaning it... More

My puppy had a blast and we loved that this beach was off leash. It was very busy on a Sunday, which for me was good because that just meant more dogs for mine to play with. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend.

This beach is so great because you can enjoy the sun and water WITH your dog. The only negative is that there are some dogs who are aggressive towards people/dogs and should not be off leash. There is no way to regulate who comes and goes and who cleans up after their dog.

Wanna see an old dog run like a puppy? Ever seen a dog smile? Take em to the dog beach! Lots of fun for your furry friends. A bit of a heads up, avoid the weekends...can get crowded and some of the weekenders don't watch their untrained dogs. Go Monday through Thursday and you'll be fine.

We brought our 5 month puppy there for his first time in the gulf. He had a great time. Some dogs were off leash and other were leashed. I did not witness any aggressive dogs. The water was really warm. I think it is because the beach is in an estuary, so the water is very shallow.

A GREAT beach for dogs who are friendly with other dogs. No leashes necessary. Friendly dog owners are there to chat with while the pups run free and play. Low tide means more sandy beach for dogs to run on. I usually wear flip flops that are water friendly in case there are things I don't want my barefeet to... More

Great beach, especially for dog lovers, when the brown waters of the Caloosahachee River are not draining I to the watershed.

We enjoyed taking our dog to this beach, he enjoyed it a lot, played with other dogs, i recommend to go early in the morning since mid morning it started to get very crowded. We planned to take him here again soon.
