The afternoon I spent at Bowditch Beach was a little overcast and cool, so there were not many people there. But the white powder sand is beautiful as is the view. The facilities are modern and attractive with picnic area, bathroom, snack area and pavilion. There's a trolley that takes visitors to many of the areas of the very big... More

We went here for a short time. There is plenty of small parking areas, but they are pay to park. Nice beach, soft white sand. Very nice view. Lots of road work going on, but it will be real nice when they get done. Plenty of souvenir shops and stores.

The beach itself isn't anything exciting. I would recommend Venice Beach or drive to Sanibel Island if you're looking for clear and clean water/sand. The Times Square area is a great place to hang out for drinks and food. I'm not saying don't visit, but don't expect clear beaches. This is a great beach to take your dogs to.

Visited Fort Meyers Beach in January. The temperature was in the low 80's, no rain. We stayed in the lower Estero Blvd area. This section has the high rises and more living areas. There is a trolley that runs along Estero Blvd. The cost is 75 cents each way. Many things are in walking distace. The downtown area is called... More

This beach is better than any we have been to in all our travels, including Hawaii. Miles and miles of pure white sand. Always clean. You can walk for hours in either direction or just lay down a towel and soak up the sun.

Ft. Myers Beach is several miles long and has a lot going on from end to end. Lots of people, lots of white sand and you can walk about as far as you want. Your best bet if coming to visit is to come in from the South via Bonita Beach Rd. It's a more direct route from I-75. You... More

We stayed at the south end towards lovers key park. Great white sand beach. Kids 9 and 5 loved swimming in the shallow water and playing on the sand bars. They also enjoyed collecting shells and several dolphin encounters in the mornings. Plenty of room to play beach sports too.
