My girlfriend and I had never been paddle boarding before and were a little hesitant to give it a try, not knowing if it was difficult to stay on the board or not. We decided to do the morning tour and the water was very calm and flat throughout the excursion. Tim met us at the dock with a welcoming smile and plenty of comforting instruction. Within a few minutes we were paddling up the channel. Being beginners we started off on our knees and paddled to Manatee Bay, which was a secluded bay down a canal lined with waterfront homes. This was the perfect area to get the hang of standing up on the boards. Once up, my knees wouldn't stop shaking, but Tim said it would eventually go away, which it did. The boards are top of the line and very stable. We then paddled back across the channel to Bird Island, which is a protected habitat aptly named. Tim said there are over 15 different species that inhabit the island, as there where several hundred there on our pass by. Tim was extremely knowledgeable about the area and habitat throughout the excursion. I had brought a disposable waterproof camera in hopes of getting a few pictures, but decided to leave it at the dock, not feeling confident enough to carry it at the same time of learning how to paddle board...turns out Tim had picked it up and offered to snap a few pics of us learning our new found hobby! All in all we had an amazing time! We saw many birds, a sea turtle and several dolphins. I ended up falling off twice and was able to hop back up on the board with no problems. The majority of the places we paddled was in waters only 3-4 feet deep, so no worries if you're not the best swimmer. We live locally in Cape Coral and will definitely be back again. Once again, a GREAT time and we HIGHLY recommend Soul Standup Paddle!!!-----Tiffany & Mike---

Today I went out with Tim for my first time. It was just he and I, and he was totally professional. He taught me everything I needed to know.... I never fell in!! We spent two hours out on the water; I saw a lot of birds, stingrays, and did a little shelling. It was a great time and great value; would defining go back!

We paddled 6 times during our week long vacation on Ft Myers beach .
Lorie and Tony at Soul Paddle made us feel like like family they were fantastic.......
Our first time out we spent time in a small lagoon where we were taught the basics then headed off for more open water. The small group meant good instruction throughout the time on the water all the equipment was provided you just need clothes that you don't mind getting wet !
Our first trip we saw manatees and the next dolphins you never know whats round the corner! there is always plenty to see and no experience required. Just be prepared to have fun.
I recommend the sunset paddle when we went the water was like glass the sunset was fantastic remember a camera

Found this place on Trip Advisors, and all the reviews were good. I brought my girlfriend who is a bit afraid of the water. The two guides, Tony and TIm, always made sure they were close to her, and within a half hour she was standing and paddling without any fear. I've done this before on the gulf in Naples with NO instruction, which looking back was a huge mistake, as I spent most of my time getting up and immediately falling into the waves of the gulf. Tony brought us to a placid area in the intercoastal to learn, and then we went out into the channel and around a bird ectuary, of which he knew much. It was hot but we had a good breeze. Well worth the money, great teaching, safe environment. Going back this weekend with a buddy coming down from east coast.

Two adults....both over 50 (LOL) met tour guide Taylor at the Surf Pizza shop. Took a short walk down the street to the dock. After a brief on land lesson we took to the water. We paddled around the lagoon to get comfortable on the board. After a short time, we paddled out to the bay and around "Bird Island." We signed up for the beginner class and tour and had a great time. Taylor provided excellent step by step instruction both on land and on the water. We had a great time.

We've been going to SW Florida for 15 years, and always try to include some new adventure for our 4 children. My only regret is I wish I would've seen this opportunity earlier!! I only learned about SUP a few years ago, but was determined to try it since then. Last year's 40 degree temps weren't going to allow it, but this year I went twice! Tony didn't have room for my whole family with only 1 days notice, so I went by myself the first time. I was a little nervous, but Tony allayed those fears right away- we had beautiful weather, went to Bowditch beach area and on the way back crossed the channel to see some dolphins 4 feet away from my board!!
Two days later the whole family went with Taylor, who was very patient with our 8 yr old, who was doing ok but not confident enough to stand. After about 1/2 hour introduction/lessons, Taylor and my husband determined we could stay together better (keeping up with our teenagers) if our youngest rode on Taylor's board. What a great sport! (Tony and SUP!) Our college daughter is there now with a friend, and will be going tomorrow. I recommended it to my brother-in-law's family who are going in April. I hope not too many people do it so he's not too booked up next year for us! Have a blast!
Oh, and if you're hungry when you get back (or before), the pizza at Surf Pie (meeting place to start tour) is yummy!

Right across the canal from where we were staying was a fun family adventure waiting for us! We had a great time paddling around the inlets and bay. I wish I could've stayed longer and gone out on the Gulf I had so much fun. It's easier than it looks, which is a good thing! :)

My husband and I took our two daughters on a stand up paddle board tour guided by Taylor. Our youngest rode on Taylor's board while our 11 year old learned to navigate her own board for the first time. Straight off we saw manatee in the lagoon, and one surfaced right next to my husband's board! He didn't expect that at all, but it was very cool! We went out to a small mangrove island and along the way saw a stingray and more wildlife. This is something we will definitely do again, and would recommend SOUL Paddle to all our friends and family! If you are headed to the FMB area and are looking for something to do that is fun and affordable - this is worth the money!!

I was very nervous at first to hop on board, but once i was settled in the water all fears were gone. The experience was very relaxing and I felt very connected with the nature around me. It was very freeing to be out in the water and my tour guide made me feel very comfortable. Such a great time with friends, trying something new and fun. I loved seeing the wildlife and exploring the beach! I'm telling all my friends! Thanks Soul Paddle! It was such a blast and I can't wait to do it again!

I have always wanted to try paddle boarding, so I was thrilled to find a paddle boarding guided tour right on fort myers beach! The location is extremely easy to find and the tour guide was friendly, warm, welcoming, and very informative! I had my doubts that paddle boarding would be difficult and hard to keep my balance, but it turned out that I had no troubles at all, and if I or anyone in the group did the guide knew exactly what to do to help. I personally found it easier than kayaking and a whole lot more fun! My tour took place in the morning which I highly recommend due to all the nature witnessed! The relaxed tour brought us to the tip of the island where we came across a pod of dolphins within less than 10 feet of our boards!!! I also saw many beautiful birds, so bring a camera! I had an amazing experience and I definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone that travels to Fort Myers Beach! :)
