This jet ski tour was really fun! Liam led our group of four jet skis in the gulf of New Mexico paralleling the beaches and then into the backwater bays and canals. Liam stopped along the way to point out several pods of dolphins, a stingray, various birds, including ospreys, and a few shy manatees. Halfway thru the 1 1/2 hour tour we stopped at a secluded beach and took a dip in the warm, calm water. We returned via calm waters of the Gulf to our initial starting point. Liam struck a perfect balance of empowering us to enjoy our own pace while still keeping close watch on the entire group and herding us as needed. My husband and I highly recommend this memorable adventure.

Living in the Ft Myers area, I’ve visited a number of the jet ski dolphin tours in the area and Mid Island has been both the most fun and the best value. Liam was fantastic as a tour guide; it’s always enjoyable when your guide enjoys the tour just as much as everyone else. Highly recommended.

This was by far the best experience we had during our time in Fort Myers. We saw so many dolphins! Driving the jet ski was easy and so much fun. Justin our tour guide was absolutely amazing as he guided us to prime dolphin sightings. He also helped us with capturing amazing photos and videos of my wife and I. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting in the fort Myers and highly request Justin to be the tour guid.

What a blast we had!!
These guys are great - very professional and great value - we saw at least 20 dolphin very close up, within feet of our jet skiis while we idled. The route was a fun mix of being out in the gulf with nice waves and being back in the intercostal where the water was more smooth.
Beautiful scenery. My wife and I have jet ski’d a ton and it was so nice to have a guide so we we’re able to explore places where we would not have known how to navigate. Highly recommend this group!!

The good: The dolphins were a thrill to see and the two guys that led the tour were great.

The not so great:

a) Later that day after having done the dolphin tour and tooling down the highway to the keys, I get an email indicating they had placed bogus charges on my credit card ~ $60 for a beach table and chairs rental that were never even discussed yet alone used?! Had to call them to get those charges reversed, but doesn't speak too highly of whoever was to blame of the three that apparently run the show. Just a guess, but suspect they may not have been happy with my $40 cash tip.

b) A good chunk of time (~ 20 minutes) was essentially wasted at some beach along the way. The tour guides essentially had us pull up to the beach and loiter about for no apparent reason. Nothing special about that beach scenery or otherwise.
That simply cut into the time we could otherwise have much better spent having fun on the jet skis.

c) Despite my son and daughter having taken and passed the boating license test which they issued just prior to the dolphin tour, we NEVER received the final boating license. I can only assume they never bothered to mail those test results to the from

d) On the way back to the rental location from the dolphin area, the engine on my son's jet ski suddenly bogged down to something like 20% of everyone else's speed. That apparently was due to their not properly maintaining the jet ski by ensuring the oil tanks are checked prior to making a run down the coast. Those tanks apparently provide oil which automatically is mixed with the gas and if they run dry, the engine automatically backs off to just above an idle to prevent engine damage. Had that happened earlier in our little dolphin adventure, that would have trashed the whole experience.

Please contact me right away at 239-707-8328. I believe you have the wrong business. Placing a very poor review 6 months after an occurrence makes me think you may have forgotten the company name. There are others that are similar to our name. As you can see from our other reviews we have an impeccable reputation and we have been number 1 in tours until this review was posted. I hope you will verify by contacting me, the owner, so we can get to the bottom of this. We send one guide per tour unless a new guide is in training which is pretty rare. A) We do not rent beach tables and we have no record of a refund in the month of September. Employees would not benefit from charging randomly for something. They are not the owners. B) We do occasionally stop and allow people to shell or get in the water if the majority of the group is interested. So do the other companies. C) The boating safety test is a temporary and the pink slip they would have been given is the only copy they receive. D) I'm not sure about your explanation why the ski would go slower but we also have backup skis ready if there is ever a problem with a ski on the tour. We take great pride in our maintenance program. If there was a second guide he should have switched skis with you as well per our procedures. As you can see from my explanation above several things don't match up and we hope to get it corrected. Thank you!!

We’ve done multiple dolphin tours before but this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had. Justin was a great guide, he was very professional, didn’t waste a lot of time and took us exactly where the dolphins were and we hung out there for a long time up close and personal and he got lots of great pictures and video with his cell phone and shared them all with us later. Yes, that is a dolphin that jumped up like six feet out of the water right next to our waverunner and Justin caught it in the attached photo. On this Thanksgiving, our family was thankful for Justin and the dolphins!

Me and my family took a trip down to Fort Myers Beach in June and had a blast. We took the dolphin tour with our 2 younger kids and loved it. We had never rode jet skis before so we were kinda nervous having our kids on with us. Our tour guide drew was so patient and polite towards me and my husband. He answered the 1000 questions we had. We saw tons of dolphin and even got to see a pack of manatees. Drew mentioned that if we enjoyed the experience to come on here and write a review and I just never got around to it. We had such a great time I highly recommend going on the dolphin tour and to request Drew as your tour guide if he's available.

We did the dolphin tour on jet skis. Our teens took the boating class the night before to be able to drive. The class was easy and worth it! GUYS- the jet ski dolphin tour was phenomenal!! Liam was our guide and he knocked it out of the park. He not only spotted dolphins and guided us to close encounters, but he also took photos and videos and sent them to us. He shared cool local info and even took us to see the beached sailboat out on the water. Fun day and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide on the jet ski dolphin tour was Liam, and he was awesome, as was the experience overall. Roaring across the ocean on a Waverunner is pretty exhilarating, but when we got into the quiet backwaters, that’s when the real fun began. Liam successfully guided us to see manatees and dolphins. One dolphin swam right at my jet ski, then turned and frolicked alongside me for a full 60 seconds. Liam caught it on video and it was truly a bucket list experience for us.

We rode with two people on the jet ski, and it took me a minute to realize that letting up on the throttle was an instant recipe for instability when out in the swells of the ocean, and a passenger makes it a little less stable. Trust the jet ski! It WILL straighten out if you give it gas.

Totally and absolutely worth the price!

We were on a family vacation with three generations and a fun time was had by all with Mid Island Water Sports. We were up close to multiple dolphins along the dolphin jet ski tour. Plus, the ride to and from on the jet skis was a blast. Our tour guide Liam made sure to take plenty of pics and videos of us and the dolphins. The whole crew running the parasailing adventure was fantastic - friendly and professional. Get the picture package - they so a great job capturing the memories for you. Would highly recommend and will hopefully visit again!
