Rude employees, overrated course
Mar 2021 • Friends
Our group had 2 tee times for early morning (0730/0737). The carts were old and didn’t run well, fairways were patchy with a lot of bare spots. Greens were in great shape. We were approached while standing in the fairway of #9 and told we needed to speed up. We were actually 7 minutes ahead of pace for a 2 hour 9 holes. We were approached again on the green of #16 and told we needed to pick up the pace. We walked off of the 18th green at 1138 for a 4 hr 1 minute round. Not sure what their expectations are but it was ridiculous. $105 for a course that wasn’t great, bad carts and rude employees. Our groups spent well over $1000 between golf/food/beer and I can assure you none of us will ever go back.

During these times of COVID Eagle Ridge is not concerned with public health or social distancing to help prevent the spread of the virus. I play a lot of golf and have not had this issue with any other courses. They encourage social distancing. Kevin in the pro shop is not very accommodating and says ownership policy is not to allow separate carts. I would suggest finding a course that care more about safety tan profit

The worst practice area of any course I played with an advertised practice facility
Mar 2020
March is not the best time for golf in Fort Myers. It is the height of tourist season and most courses seem worn out somewhat.
That was true for this course. And some of the staff around the first hole tee were worn out also.
The course layout is not bad but there is a lot of water.
Tee areas could use some work and lots of patchy areas on fairways.

I teed off around 12 noon and didn't have a problem being placed with others.
Pace of play got bogged down in second nine but finished in approx 4 hours.

I won't play this course again during my annual Fort Myers trips as the practice facilities are the worst I have seen anywhere. And I always want approx an hour to practice before I play.

April 2, 2020. Arrived 30 mins before tee time. The starter was sarcastic and rude. The staff behind the counter in the pro shop acted like I was inconveniencing them when I checked in. When my playing partners arrived they also felt the same. Needless to say it was not a good start to the round. I will say beverage cart lady was very nice and apologized for the "guys" who were rude.

Nice course with friendly staff
Mar 2020
Went to this course for the first time in Naples. We found the staff in the clubhouse and the starter extremely friendly and helpful. It is a very nice course but the first five holes are tricky so make sure you have water balls! We enjoyed it so much we returned during our stay and will definitely book again when in this area.

Pricey and slow round at 9:00 am
Feb 2020 • Couples
The price was fairly high so I expected a “Country Club” type experience. I would call this more of a good public course that was missing just a few things to justify the $90 price for a round. The course was packed (2 were added to our twosome), no tees or towels in the cart, no GPS in the cart and pretty slow play as we waited on almost every hole, and we had to buy range balls before the round. The course was in very good condition and we enjoyed playing the variety of holes.

Terrible greens
Feb 2020
Simply put, the greens we terrible. It ruined the round. The other courses in the area we played were in great condition. They should have told they were having problems with the greens but they didn’t. We complained to the superintendent but he did nothing. Be aware.

Very Wet / overseeding
Jan 2020 • Solo
Driving Range is a net at 50 yards with 8 tight stalls.
Course has water hazards on 16 holes.
Very wet from watering from overseeding.
Ball plugs in many places.
Pace of play very slow. Be prepared for a 5 hour round. No Marshals on course to promote quicker play.
Good $45 to $55 course. Green speed 8 to 9 on stimp meter.

Water, water (almost) Everywhere
Dec 2019
Water in play on 16 holes. You will most likely donate a few balls to the water gods. Actually, not a bad layout and greens/bunkers are good. Like many tracks in SW FL seasonal rates are crazy, but SWFL courses have to make $$$ in season to survive the year. Main criticism is wet conditions--it drains poorly. In the summer months it is barely playable. It is what it is.

Plays wet, not worth the $90 bucks it cost to play..
Mar 2019 • Friends
Its a nice enough course with a good layout but the conditions just don't justify the price. The course has a lot of water to deal with but its not the lake water that makes the course hard to play its the wet conditions on large parts of the fairways and ruff that make it a bit unpleasant to play. We played in the dry season and it had not rained for several days yet I found my ball full of mud after nearly every shot. We ended up playing clean and place to deal with it. if you miss a fairway there is a good chance you will be getting some mud on yourself. It was hard to hit a wedge and not go deep with the divot and leave the ball short.

For the most part I liked the course layout and the homes and condos around the course are tastefully done and pleasant to look at. The greens were pretty nice and putted fairly true but were a bit inconstant as they suffered from too much moisture as well and parts of them were a bit thin on grass because of it.

I enjoyed my day and would play the course again but not at $90... it played more like a $60 or $70 track during our visit.
