I was born in Fort Myers and have loved to watch the River District grow and change over the years. The events such as; Art Walk, Music Walk, Bike Night, and etc... All are a must see, and the restaurants are amazing and full of history. Beautiful area and such wonderful local businesses to visit and support. ♥️

We took many walks around this area. It is being renovated with a lot of restaurants and shops. Centennial Park is a big draw for walkers and some runners; there are many people who are staying in the City Marina and the nearby condos who use the Park. The convention center is being renovated (and may be open by this writing), and nearby a large hotel is being constructed. Also in the immediate area is a farmer’s market and churches. I always felt safe walking in this area.

Must not miss this when you visit! Be sure to walk over to the Marina and take a walk along the river. Oh and don't miss Downtown Pizza!

Drove down here after a day of too much sun on the beach. Really nice thing to do for an afternoon. About 4 square blocks. Historic architecture, cafes, restaurants and bars. Some courtyards with entertainment. Izzy's Fish and Oysters is worth the trip. Nice happy hour. If the opportunity presented itself, I would go back
