This neighborhood surrounds the Edison/Ford Estate and can be walked-amazing homes and the Edison Church-beautiful landscaping brought to Ft Myers by Edison for his work in his lab. Spend the morning at the Edison/Ford Museum, walk through the surrounding neighborhood and head to Pinchers for a late lunch or early dinner.

This is part of the Edison/Ford Summer Homes. See the detail above. The building structures and the history of the place itself.

The grounds surrounding the Edison-Ford Winter Home Museum is worthy of your time. Just lovely to see all the exotic trees brought here by Thomas Edison, not to mention the Caloosahatchee River flowing alongside the estate. Very peace filled with many different species of flowers and bushes.

I was surprised about most of information of two outstanding persons used to live there. I mean Edison and Ford. I don't know they were friends and Ford even worked for Edison. Park is awesome, and we were lucky about a weather.

We have been there several times, by ourselves and taking guests and all are blown away by the beauty and history. We didn't get there this year but driving by, the Christmas decorations were awesome, a must see.

Lots of shady trees, benches and a spectacular view of the great waters. Nice that it is by the Edison and Ford Winter Estates

the grounds, the cottages and the history make this a special experience. Not inexpensive though for tickets. But worth the price.

the place as filled with very unique plans from all over the world. That was what I enjoyed most. two options for tours audio self tour or group tour. tours where somewhat expensive twenty plus dollars, but there was a lot to see via the museum and the building. it was a nice day so we were only there for... Interesting to see the samples of various flora brought from around the world. The large banyan tree and those gigantic fig trees are spectacular!

I really enjoyed this as well as Palms Park in downtown. There is so much this man contributed to our society.
