Gorgeous drive

A very pretty drive with the palm lined streets! Prettiest road we traveled on when we were in the area this month.

I first drove down McGregor Blvd. around 1969 with my husband and two young sons. Twenty years later I moved to Fort Myers, and by 1990 I lived one block off of this beautiful street.

I love driving down McGregor Boulevard and will go out of my way sometimes to take this route. The palm trees are gorgeous, though, the traffic can't be a bit slow sometimes. McGregor takes you right past the Thomas Edsion and Henry Ford winter homes. How cool is that?!

If you wondered why they call Fort Myers the city of palms drive McGregor. It reminds me of Bayshore drive in Tampa, but this is even better. Now everytime I need to drive North I take McGregor to enjoy the neighborhood along the way.

It was extremely nice to venture down McGregor Blvd when going to the Edison museum. The neighborhood was lined with beautiful palms. Loved it.

It's a pretty drive down the road with all the palm trees. Just watch out for failing and fallen Palm branches. And visibility is a little tough coming out of the side streets.

I drove down here yesterday completely by accident on the way to somewhere else and commented at the time how beautiful it was. Definitely worth a second drive before we leave.

I've heard this is the first street in ft myers, and that's why I guess they call it "city of palms"? The palm trees are amazing, beautiful, just the symbol for fort myers. Also you can see some nice buildings that shows history, and totally different from the "community houses" that you see everywhere.

Beautiful tree lined boulevard. Makes a statement for Fort Myers as the city of palms. Travel thus way all the time.
