Owning a home in S. Florida on McGregor Blvd.since 2007 I've traveled from Ft.Myers in the north to where it ends just before Sanibel Island in the south, In between are excellent places for both lunch and dinner and The Edison/Ford Museum in the middle. If you like driving down a scenic palm tree lined roadway, McGregor is the way... More

Start your day at the Estate and drive through the neighborhoods that surround McGregor- Edison Park area homes are amazing-and can even be walked following the Edison Estate tour.

Wonderful neighborhood to walk through. Check out a few homes. Unfortunately, I missed getting to the Edison and Ford Estates. Looked very interesting.

Beautiful well-maintained boulevard lined with royal palms. Edison was the one who proposed lining the dirt Riverside Road (now McGregor Blvd) with these palms he had brought from Cuba and the Everglades. He paid for the installation and upkeep for the first two years with the city taking over after that. Ft Myers has extended the trees beyond the original... More

Such a pretty Boulevard. I never get tired of looking at the shops and gorgeous homes. I live on the east coast so it is always a pleasure to visit and watch the sunsets.

What a beautiful well maintained road! It hasn't changed at all. This is old Florida at its best. Its well worth a detour.

It's just a road. Ford and Edisons home is on this road. It's beautiful and would take you eventually to Ft. Myers Beach. (not the entire road is all trees) Just a nice afternoon convertible ride.

Nice road to the islands. Lined with trees and palms, it is a beautiful gateway to Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva Islands. It is not an attraction, per se, just a pretty road.

The drive down McGregor Blvd was beautiful, Royal Palms line the road from one end to the other. Thanks to Thomas Edison, so glad the city keeps the trees in good shape. The homes along McGregor & the adjacent streets are a site in their own right, Most of them are hugh with big yards, beautifully landscaped. Well worth the... More
