Unlike others they focus on native butterflies to the area. My only complaint about the farm itself is that it was relatively small. My biggest... More

We stopped to visit Butterfly Estates on our way through Ft Myers in route to Sanibel and glad we did. It was a great experience to see so many beautiful butterflies flying free in the conservatory which is filled with the many flowering plants that are attractive to the butterflies. The staff is very knowledgeable about butterflies and helpful in... More

Disappointed. No more than 6 species of butterfly's flying around, the waterfalls and fountains weren't ruining and the landscaping in the conservatory really needed a lot of TLC.

This is a nice place to go to spend some time with butterflies and learning about them. Take the time to enjoy the whole estate and you will like it.

The Butterfly Estates is truly a magical place for being close and personal with the world of butterflies. The Florida Native Butterfly Society (a non-profit organization) truly has a lovely place to see and learn about Florida native butterflies. There was a small group of well-behaved children visiting and they seemed to really enjoy the water features, plants and winged... More

Wonderful greenhouse to observe butterflies. You get up-close and some will even land on you. Actually watched butterflies laying eggs on the plants. This was a great way to spend a Sunday morning .

My 4 year old Grandson and I loved it. According to him "it is a wonderland, it really is". A beautiful gift shop, welcomed by two lovely young people, two great dining choices and all of the beautiful butterflies. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable and were so accessible and happy to educate us. I really great experience. I will... More

I went with a friend and brought our cameras. Had a great experience, although it did get warm in there in the summer.
