We rented a boat for a 1/2 day excursion. The dock master was very nice and helpful. We explained to him we returned the boat early because of a low fuel alarm. He stated that the boat's fuel gauge has been giving them trouble.
We returned to the dock at least 2 hours early on a half day rental, because the low fuel alarm was sounding, and the gauge was showing low fuel. When we explained this situation to the marina, they also told us the gauges have been giving them problems and we should have CALLED from the water instead of returning the boat! They were basically trying to say that it was our fault, not theirs. We asked for a reduction of cost for the hours of boating we paid for and missed because of the faulty equipment they knew about before we rented the boat! They would not reduce the rental. We will never rent from there again.

Third time renting from them and buyer beware. The throttle needs to be replaced and it’s very annoying and dangerous to drive. About 1 hour into the rental all we could smell was a rotten fish so we searched the boat and found a big cooler with 3 dead fish and god only knows how long they have been there. I know Florida doesn’t care about the pandemic but for them not to see this fish while “cleaning/sanitizing” is beyond me!!! The cabin door would also not stay shut so someone had to stand there to make sure it didn’t swing open and injure someone especially a child. When bringing these issues to the “manager” after our ride she didn’t say I’m sorry but instead stated I’ll give you 10% off!!! How about a little empathy after paying over $400 for 3.5 hours. I see some posts where they thought the customer service was better but that’s not how we saw it. We will never be back so please do some research before you book!!

The marina is nice and staff is helpful. We had a great boat with Bimini and huge live well. Their rates are cheaper than the marinas on Sanibel and Captiva; however, the only concern is it takes about a half hour to get through the back waters out to the bay, which eats into your rental time. You'll need to review the maps and "run the numbers."

This is the second year we've rented single kayaks from Port Sanibel Marina. It's always something to look forward to on vacation. This year AGAIN we saw manatees swimming close to our kayaks. Port Sanibel gives you a waterway map to follow inland waterways. The path is clearly marked so you can easily find your way around the path. What a great two-hour experience.

We rented a 20 foot Grady Bow rider for four hours and took a ride to Captiva. The service was pleasant and professional. They took us to our boat, gave us a map and reviewed everything with us to make sure we knew we were doing. Our ride to Captiva was quite pleasant. Our ride back was not. While on Captiva we received a phone call from Ryan at the marina telling us we should head back because they were expecting a storm within an hour. We drove straight into the storm, black sky, waves crashing, rain pouring, lightning, thunder - the works! When we finally got back to the marina another boater told us he had been boating in this area for 15 years and had never seen a storm like that. Big Fun! I think I would have preferred to have rented from Jensen's in Captiva. Nothing against Port Sanibel, it was just more scenic in Captive than it was in Ft. Myers.

You can take a boat tour to see manatees and dolphins; rent a boat, rent a kayak, rent a paddleboard......even fish along the docks, if you want.

We were totally misled about the cancellation policy if the weather was bad. We then encountered an extremely rude and unco-operative General Manager when we attempted to gain a refund based on what I had been told by the booking girl on the phone. Be aware when you are asked for a $50 deposit, ask for exact detail on cancellation policy, write down what you are told, make it clear its not your decision about bad weather, or it is non refundable.

Took my two 12 year old boys to go kayaking here. An awesome time! It was a good value as well compared to other places to kayak in the area. We did some price shopping. About $50 for two kayaks. (a one person and a two person)

They provide you a clearly labeled map that guides you through the kayaking route. In one of the coves, we saw several manatees right up close. If you are quiet and try to just float and not paddle a lot you can get close enough to them to almost touch them.

Essentially you kayak through open water and several mangrove formations. Also saw some flying fish and several birds. The nice part is there is no current so it makes the kayaking pretty easy. Takes about 2.5 hours - but you could do it in less time as well.

You rent the kayaks from the marina office. The marina itself is beautiful and while kayaking along the way you also get to see some fabulous homes from the water.

Would highly recommend!

Sweet boat for the money. Thought about the Cobalt but hey, this is Florida, spend the day in an appropriate boat. Started out about 9 am after a complete run down of the boat controls, ICW charts, and some local input of where to go. We headed off to Cabbage Key. Took about an hour to get up there. What an amazing place, 100 acres of heaven on earth. Had lunch, spent an hour chatting with the staff and off to the water. Took a leisurely ride back, saw dolphins, had a blast. Spent about 6 or 7 hours out had an amazing time. Can't wait to come back soon. My only comment would be a $99 depth finder would be a great peace of mind in a few spots. It can get pretty shallow and some of the ICW markers can be a little hard to spot.

Fifteen women had a great time on the 1.5 hour kayaking paddle through the mangroves. Our guide, Justin, and the rest of the staff handled our large group very well. They were friendly and efficient. Justin was knowledge about the area and patient with our new paddlers. We spotted eagles, jumping mullets, and a sting ray. Our boats were surrounded by a family of friendly manatees. A beautiful day.
