About
The Field is a little piece of Ireland in South Florida. Under the giant banyan tree this cozy pub started life as a small cottage and has five dining rooms, a pub and bar, a large outdoor patio and an outdoor patio bar too. Irish-American cuisine featuring pub favorites like Fish & Chips, Shepherd's Pie, Irish Stew and Corned Beef & Cabbage along with steaks, chops and fresh seafood. Happy Hour at our bars Mon-Fri from 3-7pm. Live music takes center stage with Tuesdays: '2 of Us' Beatles Tribute, Wednesdays: The Hot Rod Show - The music of Rod Stewart and Thursday, Friday and Saturdays: Real Irish music with Celtic Bridge.

Customer Service and Outside Dining
Sep 2021
First off the waitress (Tess) was wonderful.................
It was a friends birthday and we all had steaks but the chef could back off of the pepper on the outside but overall very good meal.

My girlfriend and I attempted to have dinner about a month prior to this and we sent the food back and left. The waitress at the time was terrible and the steaks were like chewing a flip flop. The waitress told us that it looked "fine" to her. The manager came out and took the meal back and offered another but we left.

We gave it another shot and Tess the waitress is the real deal and the meal was very good; we're glad we took another try. SERVICE IS KING!!!!!

Visited for the first time after a long absence. Food was excellent, especially the Irish potato soup. Our server was extremely attentive but not annoyingly so.

Good Irish food and drinks.
Sep 2020
We loved eating our lunch outside. We had the lunch special of fish and chips and were not disappointed at all! I had a flight to catch and it was the perfect location, just a short distance from FLL, to get a good meal with friends or family before heading out. The Banyan Tree in front is a good backgroundfor photos. The service was fast and friendly. Great drink choices, too, from the bar.

Delightfully Delicious Dinner
Feb 2020
We just happened upon The Field, when the restaurant we had planned on visiting was closed on Mondays. What a stroke of Irish luck! Seating was available outside, but we chose to dine indoors. The place was warm, welcoming and very charming, with darkened interiors, wooden chairs/benches and paneling. Old books, bottles and lanterns gave the place character. Felt like we had stepped into a little isle of Ireland.

Our waiter was very friendly, attentive yet not rushed. We ordered the fish & chips and the meatloaf topped with tangled onion straws, alongside a dollop of mash. For dessert, a sinfully decadent chocolate cake with pools of chocolate sauce, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Portions were huge. Everything was really good, though not quite as hot as expected. The dessert was simply amazing...I wanted to lick the plate & only wished I hadn't decided to share.

We really enjoyed our time at The Field and will definitely be returning to try the Irish Stew, Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Pot Pie...along with more of that chocolate cake!!

Bring your appetite

Our food was outstanding. We had the shepherds pie, chicken strips and onion rings. Our server Lynne was fabulous. Lovely smile and she gave us a candy cane with our check. A nice touch for sure. We will definately be back and request Lynne.

Great casual ambience
Nov 2019 • Friends
The fields is a very low-key Irish style pub. The inside is a dark room that has a lot of character with knickknacks all over the place a great selection of beer and good eats. Like home cooking you can have a great chicken pot pie, meatloaf, cheeseburgers are pretty good or a Reuben sandwich plus of course a lot more. They have a fantastic outside area with gliding bench style tables that are covered in case the weather isn’t friendly. With a beautiful fireplace and unique Decour. But you must go check out the big huge wonderful tree in the front and look for the knight who is hidden within it. It’s a very cool place I would not say it’s fine dining but the food is good The service is great and they’re also good for small groups for family affairs.
Just like the food it’s a comfy place. And I think everyone should go check it out

Feel like you’re in Ireland!
Nov 2019 • Couples
It does not look much from the outside, but the moment you walk inside you feel like you’re in Ireland! We had a couple of pints of Smithwicks, which was on tap. They had a good selection of beers and a few IPA’s, which they rotate. There is a full menu, with plenty if Irish dishes. They also serve a full breakfast, which we look forward to returning for. There is plenty of seating, both inside and out. The Staff were friendly and although it was quiet on a Saturday afternoon, I am sure it gets busy and so worth making a reservation for dinner. We look forward to returning for the “live” music.

Great ambience food and service!
Oct 2019 • Friends
My friend took me here one evening… I instantly loved the warm ambience and decor. There was live music on a Thursday night which was great. I had the mussels which were fantastic and my friend had the shepherds pie which was equally good. We very much enjoyed our meal and the excellent service Including complimentary valet parking and would definitely recommend it.
