A great library with a lot of character!

So many books, so little time! You can find almost any book here or movie to! You can get lost in this place it is so big! Just kidding, it is very large though!

I like visiting libraries and this one has a good amount of natural light. The World War II exhibit was good while the moon rock was really disappointing to a fellow visitor who needed help finding it.

GOing to this library is so much more! The architecture of the Ft. Lauderdale library is phenomenal. The glass, the flowers, the escalators, it is not only a library but a concert hall, computer center, famous restaurant, gift shop, story center, movie theatre, and more. THe restaurant has the most delicious lunches with homemade quiches, salads, sandwiches, deserts, etc. This... More

We loved this place so much that my husband and I had our formal wedding reception in the lobby. Actually it was planned for outdoors on New Year's Eve in 1992 but a storm drove us inside. The acoustics were fantastic for our live band and our friends thought we were quite clever. It has a book selection that is... More

The main library has several floors with all types of media. Lots of room to read, even for the large community of homeless in the area.

I love this place! It's right downtown so no parking lot but street parking is pretty easy to find. It has several floors, and you can request new books online to pick up when you go in person. They also have a 3D printer and lab so you can place an order and events going on every month. Not to... More

We are in Ft Lauderdale for weeks at a time and frequently go to the library for seminars, training sessions, computer use, and book sales. Bring quarters for parking. The architecture is a bit strange, but there are people who will direct you to the best elevator.

This library has the most beautiful, peaceful ambience. Moreover the Media Specialists are kind & generous in terms of assisting people.

I went to the library to look around and they were having a book sale. I got several books. All for just around $1.00-$3.00 each. I went up a few floors to where the art books were and looked at a few. I was able to take some pictures of the scenery since the windows were very large.

Now that the remodeling is complete - WOW! - it's a terrific place. Conventional books are everywhere. There are all kinds of magazines available for view. Computers are all over the place. There's even a gallery on the sixth floor you'll want to check out. And in the true tradition of a great library the entire staff is knowledgeable, helpful... More
