The New River area of Los Olas Blvd is a one-stop spot for water tours, walking, history, shops, eating, and drinking. So much do to do on foot.

We were fortunate enough to take two boat tours along the river which covered the area down to the area of the cruise ships and ocean as well as up river. The yachts and homes encountered along the way are fascinating in their style variations with bungalow simplicity next door to total opulence. Well worth the trip along the river

We took the tourist boat ride along the New River. The houses along the shore were out of this world, and the boats (?ships) at the private moorings were magnificent, some even had helicopter landing pads. Most of the houses belong to celebrities so that added a further dimension to the tour. That is the present. On the shores of... More

Went on the Jungle Queen down the new river on their dinner cruise. Great narration down the river and then nice dinner and a show. Great night....great staff. All the sights on the river are amazing, yachts beyond belief.

If you have time, I would suggest a walk along River Walk, which is the the red brick promenade that runs along New River. It stars at Old Town and heads east to Stranahand House on Las Olas Blvd. You can walk east to west or west to east. New River was originally the first water way that catered to... More

The New River runs from the Intracoastal up through downtown Fort Lauderdale. It is a beautiful waterway with boats going up and down the river. Shops and restaurants are along the river. Walk, eat, people watch. Relax.

Great view is fun to eat and drink with this view. The boats going by really adds to this adventure. So many things to talk about on this River is a relaxing but fun thing to do.

The New River flows through the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale. There are many businesses, condos and homes along the river. There are any number of ways to ride along the New River via a water taxi, paddleboats, tour boats or use your own boat. It's fun to just sit by one of the bridges and watch the drawbridge go... Great place for walks with many opportunities to eat and shop at many of the local hangouts. This is a very vibrant area of Ft. Lauderdale that is also frequented by the locals.
