OMG, just last week I paid $1.00/he for parking and this morning I go to the same meter and it's now $4.00/hr. I know that the city has a fiscal nightmare on its hands but WOW! Your gonna screw folks at the parking meters. UNACCEPTABLE Las Olas Beach parking authority.

I came from NY and have a few beaches on my bucket list, Las Olas was the first. Nice beach, love all ofcthe stuff they have, shops etc, across the street. My only complaint was all of the seaweed. I mean you had to walk over a bunch that washed up and then swim through a whole section to get to clear water. To be fair, I asked others if it was the norm and they said no. A negative was they charge you $65 to sit in chairs, not sure if it was $65 for one or two, either way not worth it

Went with my daughter for some fun in the sun last December. The weather was a little too windy for my taste but the beach was perfect: lots of people enjoying the rays of sunshine while relaxing next to the beautiful waters of Fort Lauderdale. Parking was available and easy to use.

This huge public beach is the quintessential experience for sunbathing, swimming, riding waves and pure; vacation enjoyment. Be sure to bring you own chairs if you want to have seating. The rentals are $18/day. Umbrellas are $25. The water is perfect, especially temperature-wise and there are attentive lifeguards posted throughout. Highly recommend taking time here.

Runs from Bahia Mar North to Casablanca Cafe on A1A. It has hotels, bars, restaurants, on the beach are young people .Just South of Las Olas Blvd. are marinas that offer fishing boats, paddleboard, Jungle Queen tours.

We went during spring break and it was very crowded. Probably that is the reason we didn't enjoy much. Restroom are far away, you need to cross the street and parking it is difficult. There is large garage a couple of blocks away. That is probably your best bet if you arrive after noon. I would assume it much nicer when it is not spring break.

A nice gay-friendly beach area. Very wide expanse of sandy beach with chairs and umbrella rentals. In December, we were there a couple of days. The weather was near 80 and the water was fairly comfortable. The beach is located near hotels, restaurants, and some bars. And there is public parking within walking distance. When we were there, there were some people on the beach. I'm sure during warmer times of the year, it gets very busy. We shall return.

Don’t let them fool you. I found a list of 10 beaches on Pinterest but it’s actually just 1 very Long Beach. Was not a good frolicking beach at least not on the section we were at across from the CafeDelMar which is another story.
If you like peace and solitude this is not the town for you.
Never did find any cute little gift shops either.

Super beautiful white sandy beach right next to the restaurants, hotels and bars in Fort Lauderdale. There are also loungers and umbrellas to rent here. But it's definitely cheaper if you buy them for your vacation at Walmart.

Las Olas Beach is next to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. It is basically the continuation of the Beach Park. It is the same beach and also very nice. This area has less high rise hotels and is a bit quainter. It is also a good area to spend the day at the beach.
